Extremely disappointed with my experience at Costa Bahia in San Juan. Due to the airspace closure that happened on January 2nd, travel into Puerto Rico was impossible, which was completely out of my control. Despite this, the hotel refused to issue any kind of refund or even offer flexibility. I contacted them promptly, explained the situation, and provided context about the flight disruptions, but they showed zero empathy or willingness to work with me. This was not a missed trip by choice—it was caused by a major airspace shutdown—yet they treated it like it didn’t matter. Good customer service shows up during unexpected situations, and Costa Bahia failed completely. If you book here, be aware that they may keep your money no matter the circumstances. I would not recommend this hotel based on how poorly they handled this situation.

The staff was amazing but the hotel is in dyer need of repairs. The refrigerator and garbage can, etc were rusted. If you want a place to sleep that is clean and you do not care about the visuals, this place is for you but it does not offer any amenities. I sing praises to the staff because they make your stay worth it.
