Steps to the Sand-Upscale Beach Cottage

Mission Beach is San Diego’s lively take on the classic boardwalk beach town with nearly two miles of oceanfront boardwalk, numerous rental shops and Belmont Park, a boardwalk amusement park, featuring the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, originally built in 1925 but since restored, the Beach House Grill, miniature golf, bumper cars, rock climbing and an arcade.

There are plenty of bars in Mission Beach and adjacent Pacific Beach, and a hot nightlife scene for the young at heart.

There are also a host of activities for the whole family to enjoy including biking, beach volleyball, boogie boarding, surfing, whale watching, sport fishing and scuba diving.

A short walk across Mission Beach’s main thoroughfare leads you to the calm waters of Mission Bay, home to SeaWorld San Diego and the largest aquatic park of its kind, surrounded by grassy parks, playgrounds, picnic tables and miles of paved sidewalks. Rent a sailboat, take a leisurely bayside bike ride, or watch the kids play in this one-of-a-kind oasis.

Gem of a spot in Mission Beach! Not only is the location perfect (seconds to the beach and the bay), it had great AC and designated parking - both are hard to come by in the area. The yard space was great to have morning coffee in. I even did a little workout on the turf. Having access to laundry was awesome. There were beach towels and beach chairs we got to enjoy. The unit itself was beautiful too. The bedroom gets super dark which I appreciated! I’d 100% stay here again! We loved our stay.

We had a lovely time staying at the Steps to the Sand-Upscale Beach Cottage. The hosts were very responsive and made the check in/check out process a breeze! The location is very close to the beach. My wife traveled with me on a business trip, and we had a blast! The home is small but located in a great spot. Everything was updated, clean, and as advertised.
