A good, clean and interesting place to stay if downtown Salt Lake City is your destination. Plenty of reserved parking and easy walk to downtown malls, businesses and religious destinations. The pocket park and the Heber C. Kimball family cemetery adjacent to the rear of the property and accessible by a walkway from the sidewalk along the north side of the building is a free plus.

I was surprised by the size of the room.. It was a full-ledged one bedroom apartment! Unfortunately the cleaning staff had failed to supply a bath towel, so I used the small hand towel. Alsos the coffee maker was absent the glass carafe and there was no cream or sugar.

We selected this hotel solely for its location as we had an event at the conference center. We knew NOTHING about the Kimball. Check-in was quick and easy. Parking was never an issue. The rooms need Full Body mirrors and USB plugs for charging. We found our suite quite comfortable and ample. If you are not used to historic hotels (as opposed to chain hotels) this is a nice introduction. There were no surprise fees. I was charged the exact amount Orbitz told me plus the parking fee, which Orbitz had told me about it as well. All in all it was a great decision to stay at the Kimball.

The room itself was nice, though outdated. A studio with kitchenette, couch, TV and small closet. No coffee or coffee maker (the pot was gone). The fitness room is tiny with a bunch of equipment kind of shoved in there randomly. The building itself is *quite* outdated and a bit musty smelling to be honest. Really low ceilings and old velvet carpeting - that style. It needs a refresh pretty badly. Wasn't overly impressed for the money...I could've paid $50 more a couple nights and just stayed at a basic hotel that at least had coffee and a normal fitness room.
