We requested adjoining rooms when we booked over a month in advance. Was no communication about this not being possible. Arrived to check in to be told they were not available. That's fine cause thr tooms we booked (king tooms) don't usually have two adjoing. Totally get that. Then they put us on different floors. Guess my bad for assuming if you want adjoining rooms that are not avaliable that at least you could gst rooms on the same floor. We were told it is packed tonight and nothing can be done.

Added hidden fees of $29 for parking. This fee didn't show up while booking. After showing employee hotel listing on Expedia, they couldn't find the be listed. After getting with hotel manager, they found a text description of the fee under amenities. They are lowering the price for 3rd party booking sites just to add this fee in later. Rooms are definitely showing their age. Half the restaurants were under construction. Water at slide was freezing as the heater wasn't turned on. Surfing area was turned off. Kid area with large slides in pictures was blocked off as they were tearing it down.

Clean room. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast nice: included eggs, sausage, biscuit. (Much better than a bagel and coffee.) Lobby is nice. Access and parking nice. But Didn’t have good room service. Not equipped with hairdryer. And No maid service. And we had to daily request/get our own fresh towels, yes every day. They said we’re supposed to put a sign on the door to request maid service. What? We did not have any sign. Big miscommunication on that aspect. But at least we had privacy. Oh well. Otherwise the room was actually pretty good, and clean, and comfortable… I’d stay again.

Stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last few years based on location, it's easy to access...and is a straight shot to venues & stores we frequent. Usually we have zero complaints, as I feel it's an above average hotel for the price...however this time there was something that caught my attention and couldn't be overlooked. All of the furniture in the room (with the exception of the bed) was very dirty and stained, covered with what appear to be either grease spots or drink spills, etc...the lounge chair, ottoman table chairs, sofa - all of it was stained. I'm not the type who likes to complain or searches for a reason to complain, but this just couldn't be ignored...all of the furniture in that room needs to be steamed & deep cleaned.

The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was not very good and they key card system was down, so the poor employees had to run around the hotel letting people into their rooms. I felt so badly for them. It was inconvenient for my husband and I, but I truly felt for the employees. Management should have upstaged during the outage.

We had to go get toilet paper at the front desk bc we barely had any when we got there. The body soap was empty when in the shower. Breakfast was horrible. No selection. Appeared that there were not many people there so there was no food. The water fountain in the lobby wasn't working either.

Staff were great, no complaints on them! Only problem I had was the key readers were not working in the whole hotel so the front desk had to let everyone into their rooms. Although they moved quickly with unlocking the doors, I still wasn’t a huge fan of having to wait for someone to open my room.

My wife and I are Avid Travelers and stay at many different types of hotels. We are very open-minded and don't require top-notch details of our stays but felt the need to review this one. Our main issue with this stay was that one we checked in they informed us that the key card machine was not working so that anytime we we would need or want to leave the room we would have to be escorted back into our room by one of the staff. This became quite a nuisance as we traveled in and out during the day to see sites around Salt Lake city. We spent two nights there and I asked the clerk on our last night how long this had been a problem and she laughed it off and said oh it hasn't been working for a number of days now. Limited very limited number two on our list of dislikes was the overrated and I want to emphasize the word overrated breakfast that they advertised. They ran out of many items halfway through the breakfast time frame and did not replenish. We have stayed at other Holiday Inn Express hotels before and the breakfast was extraordinary. This specific Hotel locked greatly as far as what they said they would Supply. I watched from the main lobby as the breakfast person was getting the area ready and saw many things that didn't sit right with me. She knocked over the silverware holder and it spilled onto the floor and she picked them up put them back in the holder without washing and set them back out for everyone to use.
