Excellent stay. Very comfortable! Perfect layout. Warm fireplace, relaxing hot tub and indoor tub! Comfortable mattress, living room and great kitchen. Everything about our stay was perfect. Would love to rent this cabin again!

The photos do not do this wonderful place justice. The location is amazing - after flood they are doing road work so try to go with daylight. We saw wild horses, huge elk, friendly deer. The cabin (which is a not a little cabin- it’s very spacious) has absolutely everything and anything you can think of and it is spotless clean. They had strung Christmas lights and put up a little tree. The hottub was awesome on a day after skiing. My daughter loved the jet tub. My dogs were so comfortable. I cannot say enough great things about this property.

Great place for my wife and me and our two dogs

Love that there was a fenced in back yard for our dogs. The cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed. Wildlife was an added bonus.

Wonderful cabin!

We had such a wonderful stay! This cabin has modern amenities but has classic cabin features. We also really enjoyed the decor- beautiful artwork! We also appreciated the bed setup in each room to accommodate for families to share. Thank you so much!

Home away from home

Our family and fur babies loved our stay @spotted owl. It was clean, cozy and pet friendly. We would definitely stay again. Hoping that in the future they think about placing a king size bed in master bedroom. That would make our stay even better.

Family vacation in the woods

Left the heat of West Texas to escape to this gem in the woods of Ruidoso. It is a very well appointed cabin that comfortable fit all 5 of us. We had a great time and we would return again next time we are in town.

Great Mountain cabin

The pictures sure did this cabin justice! Lots of wildlife to observe right from the covered porch. Very quiet and relaxing place for a family getaway. Only two things we would like to change is for safety and convenience....Looks like a keypad for easy entry would be located on the front door for ease of operation. Putting safety strips in the bathtub will sure help a lot to prevent falls! Hummingbird Cabins has always been a delight to work with and this time is no different.

Great property. Drive to the property on Cedar Creek was depressing with all of the fire damage all the way up to the house. Semi Trucks lined up and started at 5:30am everyday to load fire damage. Otherwise a great property and very pet friendly.

Waterless Day

Property is very nice but area was ravaged in the past by a fire. We did not have water on Friday Day so we could not shower or use the restrooms 9am - 4:30pm thus losing and changing our plans for that day.

Very nice house

House is a 10 out 10. Clean and well stocked. Sadly it sits in the middle of burned out forest. There was road construction all day long with semi’s going past the house. I understand it’s due to the fires and while I have great sympathy but they need to state the issues in the listing. Also the parking has been redone and you now have to carry luggage and supplies up the hill.

summer vacation

The property was very nice, clean and updated. We would definitely stay there again. The only thing I could say that we wished was different was the grass in the backyard was pretty tall in spots, so it was hard for our small dog to find a place to us the bathroom. My husband called maintenance about it but we did not get a response. This was a minor issue. We had a great stay!
