I was really looking forward to my stay at The Hotel Saskatchewan, but unfortunately my experience was quite disappointing.
When I arrived I noticed there was a used, empty bottle left behind the coffee station. The bathroom overall was not clean and the grout in the shower was visibly dirty. When I requested flip-flops from the spa to use in the shower, I was told to wear the polyester slippers instead, which felt unsanitary. I also had to call down separately to request a robe. I decided to booked a tub soak in the morning because I did not want to use the shower.
Room service was another area that fell short — Dinner arrived cold, the potatoes were undercooked and my trout had the skin on it. Even small requests became complicated; in the morning when I requested cream, I was sent milk.
On the morning of checkout my facial ran extremely late so the front desk kindly extended my checkout time but that information was not communicated to the night staff. As a result, I had staff knocking on my door while I was trying to get ready, which added unnecessary stress on top of an already uncomfortable situation.
Altogether, the stay felt very disorganized, with a clear lack of communication between departments.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share this feedback. I truly hope the hotel takes this as an opportunity to improve, as the property itself is undeniably beautiful.
