BEWARE! This cottage is in a very sketchy neighborhood. We arrived at dusk to see multiple groups of men standing nearby, watching us enter the property.
The neighboring properties are disorganized and lacking attention that one would expect when renting an air B and B. There are adjoining houses with living room sofas on the porch, bags of garbage against the house, a mattress on the front lawn, foliage grown over the house, and yards with many vehicles parked (abandoned) on them.
Upon arrival we found trash on the front porch and used dental tools in the bathroom indicating the lack of a thorough cleaning.
The furnishings offer zero comfort. There is one small, cheaply made, loveseat in the living room. The full bed is basically a foam pad on a flimsy metal frame. There is ONE sleeping pillow. I guess they are expecting guests to use the decorative pillows. The kitchen table is a folding tray table with folding chairs. DO NOT expect to stretch out and unwind in this location.
Parking is in the front yard, which has large tree roots sticking up everywhere, which makes entering worse because the front porch light not working.
We don't require high end finishes, but I expect to be able to safely enter the rental and have a relatively comfortable place to sit and relax. That is the entire reason we chose a house rental vs. a hotel.
We immediately reached out to the owner/manager and was refused any refund.
