Room was generally clean, but we did find a piece of pasta left inside the electric kettle. I guess the previous guest had used it to cook pasta, and unfortunately the housekeeper hadn’t cleaned it properly. When I called to report it, I was expecting a more sincere apology from the receptionist.
The next day, when we went out to explore the city and returned in the afternoon, our room still hadn’t been cleaned, even though we had left the “please clean the room” tag on the door. I had to call reception again to request housekeeping. To be fair, the housekeeping lady was very polite, efficient, and did an excellent job once she arrived. However, given the number of rooms on the floor, it seemed more staff were needed, as only one person had been assigned to cover them all.
On the positive side, the hotel’s location was excellent. It wasn’t right in the busy city center, but also not too far — just about a 20-minute walk to the center, with a very pleasant walkway alongside. I personally didn’t try the hotel breakfast, but my sons did and they really enjoyed it.
