Next to Lake. Walk to everything. Clean and large room. Friendly helpful staff. Perfect spot in Queenstown.

Great view of the lake from the room. Within walking distance to all the action. Room was clean and comfortable, defiantly recommend.

Nice accommodation and very comfortable but they will try to up sell you everything so be warned.

Great value. Great location. Rooms are a bit noisy.

It was a wonderful hotel, especially considering the price and location. Only things I wish they had was free wifi in the rooms and a set of silverware and plates, though if you asked the bar, they were happy to oblige. Would definitely stay again.

have stayed there before and found it to be excellent and right in town and fantastic service.

The location is perfect - near the best restaurants, stores and lake. The room was comfortable and clean. Only complaint is the lack of free internet.

Everything is good except for no free wifi and no free parking. However, parking is free at night on street. Location is wonderful, everything is in walking distance.

We had a spacious corner, lakefront suite which included a full kitchen with dishwasher, dining area, sky lighted living room and balconies off both living and bedrooms. There was a whirlpool bath in addition to a separate shower. This was one of the few places with a built in area for two suitcases, so easy to keep things organized. Complimentary coffee, tea, fresh milk and laundry service were much appreciated. A real annoyance, however, was the high cost in-room Internet service which we did not purchase, so we were limited to 30 minutes per 24 hrs in the lobby only. Although this did not bother us, the public areas can get crowded and noisy with group tours staying in hotel.

Quiet location on the lake. Excellent concierge desk to plan your activities. The room and breakfast buffet were very good. Highly recommended hotel at a great price.

The Novotel at Queenstown was very comfortable, close to downtown, and very clean. The grounds are close to the waterfront and hiking trails. Real Journeys arranged free pickup for our Trip to Milford Sound from the hotel, which was convenient. Close to cafes and restaurants, with free wifi available from their terminals in the lobby, as well as 30 minutes free wireless in the lobby. Longer connects require payment. We definitely recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, with lots of recommendations.

This hotel's location is absolutely ideal. Moreover, even in a non-premium room, we still had a lovely view of the Queenstown Gardens. The hotel itself also has a lovely design. The rooms are a bit small, but comfortable. I would stay here again!

Wi-fi restrictions for a hotel of this sizemore are ridiculous. Don't count on getting much done in the time and data limits they allow.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Its very close to town center with easy walks to some of the best restaurants, activity booking agents, the famous gondola ride. At the same time, its located right on the lake which provides fabulous views. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Value for money!

Our two couples (one with a young baby) stayed two nights. Well located and modern, the Novotel has a pleasant staff and well-appointed rooms. The concierge helped us choose between a number of adventure options and advised us on Milford Sound. We appreciated the free WiFi in the lobby, however, with only two PCs there was usually a short wait. In-room WiFi would have been better. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel facilities.

Stayed here before and after the Milford Track. Staff was accomodating in regard to keeping our luggage while we were gone for 5 days on our excursion. Location to dining and shopping was a pleasant and short walk.

We arrived from the airport via taxi at 1:30pm for a 2pm check-in. The room wasn't ready and we were told to return in 30 minutes. [...] the manager was cold, unwelcoming, and unapologetic. We returned at 2pm to check in and the MUCH more helpful desk agent informed us that there was a power outage that morning in Queenstown that delayed the maids from cleaning the rooms. He provided us drinks vouchers (one each) for the bar. We left again to eat lunch and returned well after 3pm and the rooms were ready. Mind you, we checked our bags with the bell boys per [...] suggestion and they remained sitting in the lobby the whole time; not very secure in my opinion. [...] it was a cheap rate, but they didn't even recognize my A-Club Gold status and claimed that the hotel was full and no upgraded rooms were available. Strangely, I was able to go on the website and test-book rooms for the two nights we were there. We were given two ground floor rooms nearest the bar, so noise was definitely a problem throughout our stay - especially at night when the businesspeople drank in the lounge. The rooms were very small but clean and comfortable. There is no air conditioning - only a steam heater and a box fan in the room. For a two-night stay and a one-day whirlwind tour of Queenstown, the location of this hotel could not be beat. It is one block from all the action and pedestrian mall, and has beautiful views of the lake. I would certainly stay here again for the price we paid, but if it was any more expensive, I would consider the Crowne Plaza.

[...] I thought the concierge were very attentive to my emails beforehand and once on site. Kudos to morning concierge team!

The internet svc policy and charges are totally out of date. A bar and an ice cream parlor two blocks away offer free internet service. The breakfast dining room service is under staffed, even for a buffet. They had more customers than tables, and wouldn't open more tables in another room

This was a great trip and the hotel is located in the middle of town. Walking distance to everything.
