The hotel was in a good location near the marina. There were pleasant walks nearby around the peninsula. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was comparable to other hotels we stayed in and offered everything we needed for a 'continental' style breakfast. Breakfast was available from 8 until 12 which was really valuable to us and other people involved in a yacht race as boats were coming in at various times. The pool was nice and the surrounding area was clean. The bed was a good size and comfortable with nice quality bedding. We booked a triple room as my husband was bringing off a lot of clothing/equipment from the yacht but if 3 people were staying in the room I think it would be a bit cramped. Tea and coffee were available at breakfast and in the afternoon in a communal area next to reception but it would have been really welcome to have had some facilities for making hot drinks in the room. The cleanliness in the room was good but the communal areas such as the stairwells often needed cleaning as there was mess on the carpets that should have been cleaned up. This was the case for the entire 9 days of my stay. The biggest issue was the lack of soundproofing between rooms. One evening there were 3 ladies who were very noisy in the room opposite and it sounded as it they were in my room. On another occasion I was kept awake by someone snoring in a room nearby. One night workmen were drilling and banging until 10 at night. I would stay again.

Was a nice hotel, room was a little small but doable for what and where it is. Housekeeping is very good. There was a foul smell from the drain in the bathroom, but they fixed it after being notified. On our second to last day, the window shade failed. Was not able to lower it. Staff came to manually lower it, and of course it was not able to be lifted the next day. But all staff are very nice and responsive. Good hotel for the area, location was great to the harbor and yacht club where we needed to be a lot.

Very good mid-market little hotel. The surroundings are stunning. Staff was wonderful, breakfast delicious. However, I stayed one night in a timy ground floor suite, I asked for a switch and I was moved to a second floor suite, which was more spacious and comfy, but with two windows facing a brick wall. Im sorry, but you cant sell suites in Punta del Este facing a brick wall.

The Atlantico reminded me of a typical beach motel in Florida, but not on the beach. The staff were great but the room was small and cramped. It was reasonably convenient to restaurants and shops but there were other hotels nearby that were better situated.

This is a hidden gem. The hotel is a happy place for singles, couples and families. The rooms we had were adequate if nothing fancy but the pool was really nice. The hotel, with its quirky elevator, has good vibes and easy parking for your wheels when in Punta del Este.

Upon arrival we immediately reloaded that the upfront payment on booking was done for a reason. After entering what is more of a motel than hotel, we visited a literal back yar surrounded by hedges and a small pool. We were then told as our rooms weren’t ready we could change inthe tiny and gross pool toilets. At that point we left and took a cab in search of another hotel for our 3 day stay. Not surprisingly they’re was no refund of any kind so we found new accommodations and kept our keys for the 3 days

Great weekend at Atlantico

A great weekend in Punta Del Este and the Atlantico Hotel. Great rooms, great beds! The breakfast they provided was tasty, and the honor bar was a nice touch. Great time all around! Can’t wait to come back again and again.
