We recently stayed at **Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta**, and our experience was absolutely amazing. Despite the resort being quite busy, the **staff were incredibly attentive** and always helpful. The **food was excellent**, with plenty of options beyond the buffet, and everything we tried was delicious. Our kids (3 and 5 years old) especially loved the **Kids Club**, which was well-run and welcoming. The **beach access** was perfect, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. We also felt the resort was **very safe and comfortable for children**, which made our first trip traveling with little ones so much easier and more enjoyable. Overall, it was a **wonderful stay**—we couldn’t have asked for a better family vacation. Highly recommended!

Great view from the room, amenities in the room were good.. we stayed at the 1 bedroom deluxe. There was a misunderstanding about housekeeping and room was not cleaned for a day, but it was cleaned immediately once we called and let them know. The hotel pool and kid zone was great for relaxation. Restaurants had delicious food served every day with wide variety. Room service was timely as well. Overall a wonderful experience! Will definitely visit again..

Booked last minute after another hotel failed us. Rooms are large but 90s dated but very clean and comfortable and have a large balcony. Everyone loved the rain shower which was like standing under a waterfall. Property was great as were the pools, lots of people but didn't feel crowded. We only did the reservation only dinner one night and it was pretty bad but that might have been because it was Asian night. The regular restaurant by the beach was consistently good so we had breakfast and dinner there. On Thanksgiving they had a great setup that included that restaurant and part of the beach with carving stations for turkey, ham, and prime rib as well as a bunch of buffet options. I liked the Marina location, very safe to walk around at night and despite being next to the airport we really only noticed the planes out on the beach. With a remodel this will live up to its luxury rating.

Even though it was all inclusive, and there was a buffet, we decided only to go with ordering food either in our room or in the restaurants. There one buffet restaurant and one Italian restaurant that we had to make a reservation for dinner. We tipped generously and we were treated very nicely. The only negative about this resort was the beach. The ocean is not swimming. The water was murky and gray!
