Parking was challenging. Small rooms. Could use more counter space in rooms. Very nice employees. It's a bit far from city services...cafes, grocery etc. 24 hour coffee was like warm in the morning. I made a pot in the kitchen but used most of the coffee grounds available for that pot. Overall however a nice experience.

The location was great! Was on the first floor, which we didn’t like so much. Overlooking the parking lot. If we were to stay there again, we would be on the second floor most likely. The only complaint was the air conditioner was loud, but at least they had one.

The James Bay Inn is very old but seems to be well maintained. It oozes character and uniqueness to that I have never experienced before. The staff are awesome and very accommodating and the location is perfect for walking downtown or to the beaches. We loved our stay and if we ever get back out that way, we will definitely make this our place to stop

We enjoyed our stay as it was close enough to the attractions of Victoria but far enough from the crowds. We had a sizeable room with good size bathroom although water pressure was a bit low.
Our only issue was that the staff hadn’t fully closed our door after cleaning one day but they corrected that. The door swings to close but doesn’t close fully. You have to pull it shut.
