The view and balcony were the highlight of this property. However, the 4 chairs on the balcony were so old, the legs were rusted through. We had to put books under some of the legs to make them level enough to use. It was surprising they didn't collapse when someone sat in them. The unit overall is in dire need of updating. The doorstop in the master bathroom was totally rusted through. The doors were decayed on the bottom inch of each. One of the floor to ceiling windows in the living room had a broken seal and was so cloudy you couldn't see through it. The kitchen had plenty of dishes. But only 2 wine glasses and 2 teaspoons. Upon check-in the door code we were provided didn't work. We had to wait more than 30 minutes for a return call to work it out. Maintenance came and replaced the key box, and 2 light bulbs in lamps. He was very accommodating and friendly.One of the 2 elevators in the building wasn't working every day during our stay.We thought that 50 for parking a second vehicle was too much when renting a 2-bedroom unit. The girl in owner services was not helpful, nor friendly.We used to stay at Edgewater Resort over 20 years ago. But you can tell many amenities have gone downhill. They had signs posted that they were working to bring it back to its glory. We would recommend waiting a year or more to see if that truly happens.We thought that renting through VRBO the units would have been reviewed and required to meet certain standards. This one did not.
