I wish we had control over the Light fixtures. It was would automatically turn on by sensor and it going to the bathroom was a nuisance at night. I have a 2 year old that's sensitive to light and will wake up whe turned on. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The location is pretty central. It's not too close to the crowds of Dotonbori, but we are able to walk the location fine.

Everything worked beautifully and it is such a cozy place. We still need to be able to talk to a human being in case we need small things or ask for something. Highly recommended. You should allow a texting messaging system to talk to someone on site or who is close from the property.

You cannot go wrong with this wonderful apartment. It is large even by Australian standards. It had very comfortable beds and a seperate toilet and bathroom so both could be used at the same time. There is no front desk but this is not an issue. Check in is via touch screen in the foyer and was very easy. Location is wonderful- safe and I think a classy part of Osaka. Transport options are about a 7 min walk and the hustle and bustle of Osaka is approximately about 5 minutes train or 20 minute walk. I would highly recommend this hotel ( ps- the bakery on the corner make the most incredible croissants and bagels!!) I wish all my hotels in Japan were like this!

This self service hotel is definitely a bang for your buck. The location is walking distance fr Hommachi station (10 mins) and just 2 stations fr Dotonbori. We enjoyed staying here as this is a smart hotel room with projectors. My teenagers loved it. They were so generous with the toiletries and linen and cleans the room daily as requested.

I just loved this hotel! Very comfy beds, the room came with so many amenities and it had the best shower experience! I have to say... the acoustics in the bathroom were amazing for bathroom singing!!!! I did an amazing duet with my husband hahahah The room is spacious, the room was very clean too. The hotel is close to many modes of transportation. I loved that I chose to stay there!

The hotel is located in a business district, with several nearby restaurants that stay open late. Check-in is fully self-service through a machine, as there’s no front desk staff, which was straightforward and quick. The triple-bed room was a bit snug—opening three suitcases at once left little room to move around. However, the room was equipped with a washer and a drying function in the bathroom, which made laundry easy and convenient during our stay.

Best stay on our trip

My family loved our stay at MERBABU. We kept comparing it to all other hotel stays during the trip. When you first get there, you simply check in at a kiosk. We loved the projector and the light functions. The stove and washing machine were a plus! You can control things with the Alexa they have there. It was so close to the subway/train systems. Walking distance to restaurants and konbinis too! They offer great amenities everyday. Def staying there again for our next trip.

Overall our stay here was great, even though it did start with a hiccup. After an easy self check in, we went up to our room to find very dirty sheets on the bed. Luckily, the staff working were at the hotel and we were able to show them. They were very apologetic, and found us a different room for our stay. The new room was perfectly clean, and the high tech amenities were awesome. This hotel is in a quieter neighbourhood but is near multiple subway stations, and has tons of great restaurants amd shopping near it. Osaka was the tail end of our trip so the in room laundry was greatly appreciated. Overall we had a wonderful stay at the Merbabu Stay.
