I travel constantly and have stayed in countless hotels, so I know what reasonable hospitality looks like. Most hotels will allow early check-in if a room is ready or at least store luggage for free. This hotel did neither. We were charged $10 just to hold our luggage, and then asked to pay even more money for early check-in. We were exhausted from traveling, so we agreed — expecting at least a decent room. Instead, we were given the worst room in the hotel, directly next to the maintenance office. From early morning onward, there was nonstop noise — tools, banging, doors slamming — making it impossible to rest. After paying extra specifically to check in early and relax, we ended up with less sleep and more stress. It honestly felt unfair and disrespectful as a guest. If a hotel is going to charge extra for early check-in, the room provided should not be one with constant noise and disturbances. At the very least, guests should not be charged extra for a room in such poor condition. This stay left us frustrated, exhausted, and deeply disappointed. I would not have minded waiting or storing luggage if I had known we would be paying more money for a worse experience.

I feel compelled to share this review so others don’t end up with the experience we had. Although the property calls itself a “resort,” the rooms are essentially motel rooms. They do have a separate building for the lobby, a dining area, and a small toddler play area with artificial grass — but the quality stops there. The rooms were the biggest disappointment. When we first saw the motel-style buildings, we were shocked. After checking in, the rooms looked nothing like the photos online. They were cramped, difficult to move around in, and very poorly designed. The bed was okay, but the rest of the room was extremely inconvenient. The bathroom tub was hard to operate and took time to get the shower running. Water clogged in the tub every time. There was no proper place to hang clothes — just a holder placed directly above the toilet, which is completely impractical. No bedside lamp, and the only standing lamp had a button so low that you have to sit on the couch and lean down carefully just to turn it on and off. Only one usable power outlet in the entire room. We had to unplug the fridge just to charge a laptop. Shuttle service is misleading. They advertise shuttle service to Disney and Universal, but it’s actually a shared shuttle with multiple hotels. There is only one morning departure (8:30 AM) and one return time (4:30 PM). That return time is unrealistic for anyone visiting the parks from out of state. The staff were very friendly, and I truly wanted to love this place, but overall the experience was disappointing. The hotel felt misleading based on the online listing and photos, which appeared heavily enhanced and gave the impression of a resort-style, family-focused property. In reality, this is an older motel that has been partially renovated with some kid-friendly amenities added. While the hotel does advertise child-friendly features, they were not set up as expected. Most of the young-child play items were placed on the grass near the back parking lot at the edge of the property and did not appear actively in use. If we had not been staying in the back of the building, we likely would not have seen them at all. We were also surprised by a resort fee charged at check-in, which was not clearly disclosed upfront. Had this fee been included in the original booking price or communicated more clearly, we would not have chosen to stay here. Our room was located at the back of the property, where a group of adults were socializing outside with music. Their conversations and music were clearly audible inside our room. There was also a visible hole at the bottom of the door where sunlight came through, which was concerning while traveling with a young child. While the owner and staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, the property itself did not align with how it was marketed. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again or recommend it.
