As a kid, I had always dreamt of staying at the Carousel, as I thought that's where all the rich people stayed. LOL! I am now in my late 50s and finally made it there! I was able to cross ice skating at the Carousel off my bucket list, too! That said, despite the efforts at remodeling, the Carousel seems a bit dated and worn down. I suppose with so many guests coming through year after year, that is inevitable. The indoor pool area, in particular, is in need of a facelift. Guests should also be aware that the outdoor pool is not heated; thus, it was completely empty because it was too frigid for any of the hotel and condo guests to use it. As for the actual condo, itself, we were pleased that it offered the necessities and was sufficient for a short girls' trip; however, if I was paying top dollar to rent this place during the high season, I would be a bit put out. First, while the building is ocean front, the balcony of this unit does not have an ocean view. Instead, you stare at the gigantic roof of the skating rink/food court area and not the ocean. Second, (and I understand that we stayed here at the end of the summer season), the place was not at all clean. Our feet were black on the bottom from going barefoot on the newer looking tile floor; there was nasty dirt and dust all over things like the baseboards; there were gross splatters of God knows what on the bathroom walls, cabinets, and floors; there were lots of broken things like a repaired hole in the bathtub, brok
