Great location for exploring the city on foot,no car needed
One of the best hotels experience I’ve ever had. The staff was so great that we broke our record amount of tips because they were so to us. We also loved their mascot dog named Winnie, who we alway allowed in our spacious room where he liked to rest under a table

We loved this little hotel for the historic style rooms and suites, kind service, and breakfast on the rooftop.

The location is amazing, easily walkable and close to tons of incredible food. I think it is overpriced for the level of maintenance and cleanliness.
This boutique hotel feels more like you at a generational vacation house than a hotel. Lots of decorating stuff everywhere, barely a flat surface to put anything on in the room. If you are 5’10 or taller, the stairways and facilities have several spots where you have to watch your head but is not a deal breaker.
The room was clean, but had some small maintenance issues. The bed and linens were very good
I would rate this hotel higher if the reception area was less of a mess and the staff were trained better to address guest concerns. The hot water was out and was ignored when I originally asked about it, this concerned me and I asked to have a manager contact me, which didn’t happen.
Unusual hotel. Great location. Clean and interesting. Lots of windy steps if youre upstairs. We were on the 3rd floor. Lighting in bathroom was poor so hard to do makeup in there. Breakfast was good, but served on the 3rd floor so you have to be able to do steps. Also the same every day. Front desk people spoke minimal English. Overall, nice hotel but not sure I'd stay here again.

This lace is in a very convenient location but I won’t call “hotel boutique”, this is a big house and they rent some rooms. This place is very noisy, the showers are very old and the tiles are broken, our room was very different than the pictures in Expedia website, many times they try to open our room without knocking but we kept our room locked. I am giving 3 stars because the location is great and the staff is very friendly and kind.

The hotel is boutique style which is already different. However, our shower had little to no water pressure, the temperature was almost always ice cold, we had incredibly graphic art in our room (thankfully no children of a certain age were around), bar is not open like they mention, and breakfast was incredibly slow. Not like European style, just people who don’t really know how to be efficient in a kitchen. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Not awful but you can do better.
Amazing, family-run place with tons of character and a perfect central location in Oaxaca. Each room is very unique, well-appointed and clean. Our bed was incredibly comfortable, and the internet was fast. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel at home. The building was very secure; they locked and gated the hotel door at night and there was always someone around. That being said, Oaxaca always felt very safe to us. The main plaza is a couple short blocks from the hotel and many attractions are nearby. If you have trouble with stairs, make sure you ask for the ground floor rooms. Highly recommended!
The staff was absolutely amazing. Made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. The hotel itself is located in the center of everything making it the perfect walkable trip. The room was beautiful and clean as well. 10/10 Would recommend and will be returning.
Charming boutique hotel very centrally located within short walking distance prom key sights. Breakfast was delicious. Adriana and the entire team are the kindest, most accommodating hotel staff we’ve ever encountered.
Fantastic small boutique hotel in Oaxaca. Lots of personal touches from the check-in process to the breakfast cook and staff on the rooftop terrace eating area. It's in the heart of everything, but quiet enough that it's not obvious.
If you're looking for a large hotel, this is not your vibe. But if you're looking for a boutique hotel run by a family with tons of hands on touches and authentic architecture and design + big rooms + AC - - this place is the jam!! Definitely recommend
Hotel Casa Cid Leon is a unique property from the elaborate antique furnishings to the caring staff who make you feel very welcome. The hotel is perfectly located a couple of blocks from the Zocalo, an easy walk yet removed from the festivities for a quiet evenings. Enrique and Aliana were perfect hosts and Winnie, the hotel pup, greeted us every morning wanting belly rubs. The included breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start the day. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and friendly accomadations in Oaxaca.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Boutique Cid De Leon. The property is beautiful and in a great location. the staff were incredibly friendly and extremely helpful with booking tours and taxis to get around. Our room was spacious, quiet, very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Oaxaca!
