The whole property needed some TLC. Bathroom was rough, kind of dirty, wallpaper peeling and had a musty odor. Theres a flavored water machine on the 10th floor , where the pool is. Water was a nice touch but the whole area between elevator and water machine smelled moldy. I dont know if this was a one time thing due to some condition that was being remedied or if thats just how it smells there. Also, upon check-in they give you a collapsable water bottle, it was both me amd my wife checking in but they only gave us 1 bottle. Included wifi is for, what they call on their website, "light web browsing". Anything faster comes at an additional cost. Most staff were friendly, but not all. I seemed to interupt one of the front desk staff from social media scrolling and she did not seam pleased. Also, greeted multiple door men when entering and exiting building, i dont think not one of them responded. Also, when i booked through orbitz i paid almost all of the cost upfront, Owing $85 upon checkin. When i checked in, besides the security deposit, i was told i owed more than double what orbitz quoted. I still have to check with orbitz and see whats up with that. In conclusion, though the stay wasnt the worst, it was far from the great. I wont be staying here again.

Hotel added $25 “destination fee.” Completely unexpected and non-negotiable! Orbitz missed it on cost comparison! Rooms are old, dark, tired, and dreadfully laid out. Bad views from most rooms. Hotel is tired looking. Inconvenient 2nd elevator to floors 19 & 20. Great location if you want to be right next to Bourbon St and Canal St.
