I will highly not recommend this hotel . This hotel gave us so much hassle . First when checked they gave us wrong room with separate bed but we booked for king size bed second We paid for their parking for $40 per night but our car still got locked and we need wait for 1 hour to removed the locked. But still gave us so much hassle because we’re driving New Orleans to San Antonio Texas and we have ETA to catch up and our baby is fussy. I didn’t expect this.

Dear Customer Support, I am writing to raise a concern regarding my recent stay booked through Expedia at Holiday Inn Express New Orleans Arts District by IHG. I reserved a Standard Room, 1 King Bed (Extra Floor Space) with a check-in date of December 18. However, upon arrival, I was assigned a Standard Room, 1 Queen Bed, which was the smallest room type and did not match what I had reserved and paid for. When I first questioned the front desk about this mismatch, I was told dismissively that “everything in New Orleans is small” and that the assigned room was correct. Only after I raised a second and more explicit complaint, noting that the room did not even include a desk, did the hotel agree to move us to the originally reserved room type. We were then able to stay in the correct room for the remaining two nights. However, the first night was spent in a very cramped room, causing significant discomfort, and it was clear the room would not have been changed without my persistence. I understand that a large conference (AGU) was taking place in New Orleans at the time, but selling a room category that cannot be honored upon check-in is not professional. Given these circumstances, I respectfully request appropriate compensation for the first night, ideally as a partial refund or Expedia points. I am a long-time Expedia customer and use Expedia for most of my travel planning. I hope this issue can be resolved fairly and in line with Expedia’s service standards. Thank you

I asked the kind lady at the front desk where the stairs were to avoid waiting for the elevator to descend 9 floors. She proceeded to inform me that there were no stairs and advised I should take the elevator. Dumbstruck, I obliged. Our stay was for 2 nights and we triple checked to ensure we could accommodate everyone. Hotels.com description assured us it "sleeps 5". It did not. It was a pretty miserable stay. We booked 2 nights and at no point did anyone freshen up the room or provide clean towels. The water in the shower was FRIGID and had very little pressure. AND... There were little cockroaches everywhere. 0/10. Do NOT recommend.

Breakfast area was lacking supplies (forks,spoons, ect). Food offering below standard for Holiday Inn Express ( old fruit, only sliced bread in bread box). Breakfast ended 15 minutes early. Our room had a Bunk bed. Very disappointing stay. Holiday Inn Express was my goto hotel prior to this stay.
