GREAT LOCATION, GREAT FOR GROUPS
The location is unbeatable, with tons of restaurants, bars, brewery’s, and shops nearby. Only 2 blocks from Tchoupitoulas Street and 5 blocks from Magazine Street, there is plenty to choose from within walking distance and more even with a quick drive or bike ride. The St. Charles Streetcar, where the rest of New Orleans is at your fingertips, is only about a 15 minute walk away— a beautiful scenic walk that includes the famous Buckner Mansion, seen in movies and TV like American Horror story. Walk a block to the famous Nola lunch spot, Turkey and the Wolf, or grab a bite even closer to your front door at the Dragonfly Cafe on one side or T&T po-boys on the other. Check out some of the many breweries located on Tchoupitoulas street, like Urban South Brewery, Miel Brewery & Taproom, NOLA Brewing and more!
Guests will have full and private access to the BACK unit of this large 18th century home, which includes a downstairs 2 bedroom apartment, upstairs 2 bedroom loft space, shared breezeway, and private backyard.
Guests will enter the property through a wooden gate into a shared breezeway located on the side of the home. This outside path leads directly to the entrance of the unit as well as a private backyard space.
The breezeway is the only shared space, however there are shared walls as this is a multi unit property. The front unit of this home is rented as a mid-term rental, with guests ranging from one month to several months.
Like many New Orleans homes, there is street parking only for this unit. There is often no difficulty parking as there are plenty of street parking spots available in front of the home, further down the block, or directly across the street. All we ask is that you do not park directly in front of the blue house located next door– we have great neighbors and want to respect their space as well!
Please note: The front apartment of the building is occupied by a long term tenant, though it is completely private and has a separate entrance. The long term tenant will have occasional access to the shared breezeway however the backyard remains exclusively for guests of this space.
QUIET HOURS are strictly enforced between 10pm-8am in order to respect all renting parties.
While a mix of commercial and residential, our block has a quiet residential feel and we hope you and your group get to experience what it feels like to live like a local.
With that being said, this is not the space for rowdy groups traveling for the sole purpose of partying. There are MANY nearby bars and drinking establishments to enjoy before settling down at the property. This home is old, fragile, and not a place for boisterous behavior, so we ask that you reserve that behavior for appropriate New Orleans establishments and adventures and are respectful to our neighbors and our space when returning home.
We have great neighbors who will notify us if guests disobey quiet hours or cause any disruptions to neighbors or other tenants.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board. Housekeeping is available on request.

Great house
The house was fantastic. However it is important to know that it is on the fringe of the Garden District, near warehouses and highways. Overall it was great and we enjoyed ourselves. the host was very responsive.

Superb
Loved our stay at this property. The teens took over the loft and absolutely loved it while the adults enjoyed spreading out downstairs. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. The beds and bedding are excellent and the location near Magazine street is fantastic. Check in/out was among the easiest I’ve ever had and the host was super responsive. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. We had a wonderful vacation and the house with all its space made it even better.

Christmas in New Orleans
What a wonderful space, plenty of room for a small group (5 adults) and lots of individual space as well. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Easy to get to places around town…Bourbon Street, Frenchman Street, Superdome and so on. Walmart close to get any needed items. Would definitely recommend and go back!!!

One of My Top Stays Ever
This was a phenomenal stay from start to finish. The communication was excellent and efficient. The home was exceptionally clean and tastefully/comfortably furnished. The location is an excellent Irish Channel Uptown location. It was super fast to get across the bridge to the West Bank where we were working. It was also fast to get to the French Quarter. You felt safe in the area. Awesome stay!

Amazing Home
From beginning to end this home and host were wonderful! It comfortably accommodated 7 adults and 1 teen. The home is decorated in a fashionable NOLA style. By the end of our stay we wanted to buy the art work. There are tiny additions throughout the home to make your stay easier. The beds are super soft. The location is super close to everything and would highly recommend the short walk to eat at Turkey and the Wolf. The upstairs loft is beyond cute but the stairs require a bit of skill as it is winding. We would have loved if the outside was as inviting as the inside but it didn’t stop us from enjoying some Summer breeze. We have already started to plan our next trip and we will definitely stay at Jackson House again!

Perfect NOLA rental
We came in town for a family wedding and this was the perfect spot. The hideaway bunk room was such a treat for the kid cousins. The house was laid out perfectly for our two families to be together. The location is perfect and it was a seamless process! Jesse is very communicative and made this so simple for us! We can’t wait to come back!

Family stay at Jackson Home
We had 7 people stay at the property and the two floors gave everyone a lot of space. The towels were plentiful and luxurious, the beds were very comfortable and the host ensured our stay was very good (even when the neighborhood internet went out). Overall, I would recommend this home as it was within walking distance to Magazine Street (good location) with easy access to good restaurants and bike share. Clean and well-appointed.
The check-out process being a bit detailed was the only downside.

Great Gals Reunion Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed this property. Jessica was super helpful (especially when we inadvertently locked ourselves out on a late weekend night!). Everything was incredibly clean and we appreciated the quiet atmosphere in the evening. No drunken revelry to keep us awake. We enjoyed walking up to Magazine street from this home. The only thing that surprised us was that there really were not 4 bedrooms as advertised, which ended up being fine for us since our fourth guest cancelled. We'll definitely return on our next visit to NoLa.

Nice place!
The property was very nice and clean inside! The host was very quick to reapond. We enjoyed the property. Maybe look into a pull out couch or two. And an outside grill. Overall very nice place!
Its probably not the best spot for after hours noise due to the closeness of the neighbor at the front of the property.

Great place for a group of friends
We stayed here for French Quarter Fest, and really enjoyed a place where the six of us could stay, chill after a day of music, share meals, and relax. Quiet, great amenities, and great communication with the host. Bus 91, right outside the door, is easy access to the French Quarter (check out Le Pass for your phone to buy bus passes).

Gem near magazine street
Absolutely, loved this property. From the outside the street and house look slightly unwelcoming but the inside is beautiful. My family of 6 had so much space. We all were working periodically through the week and there were a few places in the house we could go to have quiet. The beds were fairly comfortable. It’s an old house so it definitely squeaks but otherwise it was a wonderful place to stay.
It’s only a few blocks from magazine street so you can really explore a lot without driving. I didn’t feel in danger at all staying in this area. Can’t reccomend enough!

Lots of space for the whole family. We had four kids from teen to toddler plus the grandparents. Host was very attentive and communicative. We walked to several restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again.
