Upon check-in, guest manager was frustrated because I booked through Expedia and said she dislikes them. Couch was sticky. No linens for pull-out sofa. Windows dirty so not a good view to look out. Loud streetcar not disclosed online. Will not book here again. Club Wyndham was so much nicer for the previous three nights (we added this one last-minute).

It is in a quiet area of town, and other than the amount of unhoused people asking for money is not too bad. The TV was working but had large bright spots on the screen and were distracting. The refrigerator door was broken and had to be propped up to close. The room was very large and could of used a couch or something rather than just two chairs. This is an old building but has great interior styling and tile. For the most part we enjoyed our stay.

There was no hot water. We complained 3 times and it was never fixed. There were hidden fees I was charged at check-in totaling about $150-$180. The mattresses and pillows were terrible. The beds were like flat rocks, and the pillows offered no support (they were very old feather pillows). The TV had blown LEDs, and was basically impossible to watch. The only redeeming quality about this hotel was the staff. Friendly and professional. The in-house restaurant (Luke's) was OK (3/5) but very overpriced. However the fresh/raw oysters were great. Happy hour is the best time to go because the raw bar and cocktails are half price.

The front desk is under-staffed. The room I booked and prepaid for (larger room with king) was not available when I arrived. I was told it was under maintenance and would be available at 9:00 the next morning. We were able to move to the correct room 3:00 in the afternoon the next day. The room was nice, but the shower had hot water about 50% of the time. We used valet parking 1 night but was charged for all 5 nights. It took over 30 minutes to straighten everything out and to check out. The receipt that was emailed to med still shows the over charges, so i will have to handled this again tomorrow. I will never stay here again.
