The property is very clean and the yard is well manicured and maintained. I am a woman and a solo traveller. The lock on the glass sliding patio doors didn’t have a lock that worked. I arrived late and by the time I settled in and realized that the lock didn’t work the front desk was unmanned so needless to say I didn’t get much sleep and will not return.

A Perfect Stay in Nanaimo

What a beautiful location! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the gorgeous views and peaceful surroundings. The service was exceptional — the staff were not only attentive but also genuinely caring, making us feel truly welcome. Breakfast was fantastic every morning, with great variety and quality. The hot tub and sauna were the perfect way to unwind, especially with such a stunning view to enjoy while relaxing. This place had everything we were looking for and more. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Nanaimo — can’t recommend it highly enough!

The breakfast area was very cramped. Too many tables for the small area. Had to stand up to let people behind me get in and out from their table. My husband couldn’t sit across from me because the man at the table behind him took up all the space. Bed was not comfortable. Way too soft The lake was nice to look at and walk over to.

The property was easy to get to, only a 15 minute taxi from the ferry. The staff were very welcoming and I settled in easy. There was a complimentary breakfast each morning which was always well stocked and tasted great. The nearest shop that sold fresh food was a 20 minute walk away, or you could get a ten minute bus to the nearest Walmart from a five minute walk from the hotel. When my hotel room was cleaned it was always restocked. Having a mini fridge and a microwave meant that I could cook some of my own food whilst here. It did take me a day to understand the microwave but I managed. Only thing I found annoying was that there were no plates or cutlery in the room to use. Other than this my stay was amazing and I would come back.

Great hotel, all rooms face the lake. Breakfast was far more than a continental (yogurts, fresh fruit, granolas, waffles, eggs, omelets, toasts, breads). Amenities are modern with a great gym for weights and a peloton bike.
