Overall a good stay. Convenient location not far from Munichs main station and only a short walk into the old town. Room was a good size, quiet and staff friendly. My only complaints would be that the room has an individual air con panel. However it only controls on or off. The temperature is set throughout the hotel. My preference is for cooler, so my option was to turn it off and open the window. But with the window open you get noise from the pigeons living on the fire escape. Also the bath’room’ is literally separated by a 3/4 length frosted glass door that doesn’t stay closed. It offers NO privacy when you are doing your business, and does not- shall we say- contain any of the after effects to the bathroom. If you are there by yourself it’s perfectly fine, but if you are with someone else you just want to make sure you are both very comfortable with each other.

The room was very nice. I was not a fan of the open shower, the glass was part frosted but I was with a coworker you could still see more than I wanted. The location was great during the day but at night time it was so load and busy. The hotel was in between two strip clubs. We also had a problem with our toilet. They told us to use the bathroom two floors down.This hotel was WAY to expensive to deal with the noise and bathroom problems.

Comfortable, clean rooms located very close to the main station in Munich. Good amenities in room, including tea and coffee station, hairdryer, safe etc. It’s a shame there’s no onsite breakfast facilities, although there is a busy coffee shop below.

Close to central station

Very convenient area. Close to train station and restaurants. There is a night club nearby but didn't feel unsafe. We walked everywhere Our room faced the front so had some traffic noise but not excessive. Convenient to have self serve coffee in lobby. The staff was helpful with directions.

The accommodations themselves are nice enough and the location is convenient. However, beware that if you are staying on the first floor (and likely other floors that face the main roads) it is EXTREMELY noisy outside. Loud music and bass played at all hours of the night, people were constantly walking by and it felt like they were talking in the room, and the vehicle traffic was very loud. I don’t think I’ve ever slept so poorly in a hotel. Also, the bathroom window is large and has frosted glass, so it lets in a large amount of light at night. For $430+/night, I was very disappointed in the noisiness of the main roads. The walls of the room seemed to barely be there, and the large windows don’t help. Would not recommend unless you can ensure you’re staying on a higher floor and/or not facing a main road.

It is a great property and the staff are nice. There is a strip club right next door with some dodger people standing outside. It was Oktoberfest do it was crowded and maybe that’s why a lot of people were there. We got use to is after the 1st nightz

Suitable for a business short stay...

The hotel was clean, friendly and the rooms equipped with good drinks facilities. Ideally for a short stay. The hotel doesn't have any restaurant or gym facilities however, but it is located within walking distance of some good coffee shops. Outside the hotel was a little messy and perhaps the night life a little loud, but you could hardly hear this from the room that I had.

We arrived around 9am and they happily stored luggage for us. When we checked back just after 1pm they had our room ready for us around 1.30pm (I had pre-requested an early check in if available when booking). Our room was on the 6th floor. We were aware there may be some noise from the street and as long as the window was shut, this didn’t really disturb us. We had an issue with the air-conditioner which shut off every couple of hours. Seemed to have a timer on it that we couldn’t remove ourselves. We lodged this with reception but didn’t seem to change, so either had to sleep with it being warmer or get up and turn it on again. Apart from this issue the room was clean, spacious enough and functional. Access to smart tv to use your own streaming account. The toilet and shower were small and not overly private (especially toilet) but were manageable. The location is close to main station (Munich HBF) but even though there are strip clubs and sex shops nearby, never felt “unsafe”. An eclectic mix of shops and people and an easy walk from tourist areas.

Bayer’s city hotel is right next to the train station which attracted me because my daughter and I needed to ride to Vienna after Munich. Since it’s near the train station my daughter felt it was shady. Nothing happened and there were lots of tourist but there were adult entertainments around and the usual suspects. Other than that, it’s supper close to Munich old center, underground shopping, and bunch of restaurants. Price was good and nothing bad to say regarding the hotel.
