Here are the problems we encountered: (1) the room was highly scented (I think from the sheets and pillowcases which must have been laundered in highly scented detergent); (2) the hotel makes you use a revolving door to get inside; the problem was I couldn’t get my luggage in fast enough; I got caught in the door and had to pull myself out which caused me to fall (luckily a couple behind me and my sister broke our falls). They have a non-revolving door; they just block it so you cannot use it; (3) I couldn’t turn up the heat for the first two nights and it was cold; (4) the sofa bed sagged badly in the middle and was very uncomfortable; (5) the breakfast was mediocre at best; (6) the young woman at reception at night seemed poorly trained (I didn’t feel like I could talk to her about the heat problem); (7) my key mysteriously stopped working after the second night (no explanation of why); (8) the room was of depressing decor (in contrast to the lobby which looks quite nice). On the plus side: the room was big and the location was ideal. But I definitely would not stay here again.

We stayed at Duomo Hotel & Apartments in Milan and overall had a comfortable and convenient experience. The best part of this property is definitely the location — it is only a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo, which made sightseeing, shopping, and dining extremely easy and enjoyable. The room size was reasonable for a family: not overly spacious, as you might expect in central Milan, but still large enough for us to stay comfortably without feeling cramped. The staff members were polite and professional, though the interaction felt a bit formal and distant; they seemed to be simply completing their tasks rather than showing the warm, genuine friendliness we experienced at other hotels in Florence and Rome during the same trip. The room itself was clean and well maintained, meeting expectations for this category of accommodation, though there was nothing particularly special or distinctive about the design or atmosphere. Everything functioned as expected and provided a reliable base for exploring the city. Overall, Duomo Hotel & Apartments is a solid and practical choice if your priority is location and convenience, especially for families, even if the service and character feel a bit less personal than elsewhere in Italy.

Amazing location close to the Duomo, metro, and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Modern furnishings with a small tucked away kitchenette which is great if you need it. My kids loved the marshmallows and licorice at reception along with the flavored waters!

Greetings could indeed be enhanced at times, as they occasionally appeared mechanical in nature. It may be advisable for the hotel to clarify that it is not specifically family-oriented, but rather designed for couples. Furthermore, the location was suboptimal, with considerable noise emanating from the street during the night, thereby hindering restful sleep.
