I’ve stayed here before and I have to say that Hyatt is really slipping. The property is still in decent shape. The service in the restaurant is poor. Understaffed in service and probably the kitchen as well. Housekeeping has slipped noticeably. They either didn’t get around to my room or missed areas. Not acceptable. I’m staying at the Hyatt Regency Miami now. It’s far worse. Everything is dated and is in need of refurbishment. The whole Hyatt franchise is declining and upper management seems content with this as long as they get their bonuses. Delivering shareholder value is all that counts although that’s something corps love to talk about but almost never do. It’s a diversion to line their pockets. If they really wanted to create shareholder value they would marinating their properties and train staff.

Pool beautiful, lobby nice with fruit infused water all day, lovely restaurant and breakfast. Booked in a room on the 2nd floor over a hair salon, the hall from the elevator smelled bad with chemicals so they did move us after asking but we are VIP status with Expedia so I was surprised we had to ask to move.
