Comfortable cabin in a great location!

Wonderful cabin and location! Everything was new and comfortable. Great location! We loved hanging out on the deck before driving to dinner. We hope to be back!

We had a WONDERFUL stay. The property was spotless and has great interior design. The two ground-floor bedrooms are perfect for adults, and the bunk beds in the loft are great for kids. We only could stay one night this time, but we hope to return soon for a longer visit.

The hosts were quick to respond to any and all questions and concerns. Everything was clean and in order. The view is beautiful day and night. Our folks ranged in age from 6-99 years and we all enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay!

A beautiful cabin conveniently located on Lookout Mountain very close to town and surrounding parks. Comfortable, quiet, and well stocked with all the comforts of home. The back deck was a perfect place to enjoy the spectacular sunset each evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night getaway at Hickory Hideaway!

The house was perfect and just like the pictures. The view was also amazing! Had to email the owners a couple of times and they were quick to respond. Would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful getaway! We were able to land the cabin on a last minute and brief trip to enjoy the beauty and color of Mentone in the fall. The cabin was warm and comfortable and inviting -- and already decked out with a Christmas tree, which was a wonderful surprise. Its location was perfect for enjoying the local restaurants and visiting the Brow at Sunset, Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon, Fort Payne and other attractions. The hosts were responsive and friendly. We loved it and would definitely like to stay there again.

Such a Beautiful Cabin!!

The cabin was BEAUTIFUL! The only possible complaint was the trees were thick and you couldn't see past them to see the sunset view. the furnishings were comfortable and the we didn't want for anything. We Really enjoyed our stay and we hope to rent this beautiful cabin again.

50th Birthday Getaway

Our family visited Mentone for a 50th birthday getaway for me. We enjoyed the location and design of Hickory Hideway. It was just what we needed for an escape from the hustle and bustle of our hectic schedules. We recommend.

Sweet Mentone Hideaway

This is a very well done small cabin with 2 nice bedrooms, each having their own bath. The outside deck space is ample, and the kitchen was more than adequate. The owner is very responsive. We hope to return to this little gem!

Looks almost new. All as advertised, clean, close to town and restaurants. Wildflower and Elevation Bistros are great! The views will be fantastic after the leaves fall. Need to check coffee pot closer during cleaning. Old, moldy grounds left in maker. But no biggie.

Very clean unit. Seth was very helpful with a couple issues we had. Love that there are no steps into the cabin. Beautiful deck but to cold to use during our stay. Cabin would be good for handicapped.

Hickory Hideaway Fall '22 stay

It's new, so it's in good shape, but here are a few minor things to be aware of: it's hard to find--it needs address numbers at the road. The shower had low water pressure and took time to warm up. It also needs non-stick pans for cooking. The lighting was a bit harsh--too bright in the main overheads, it was all or nothing. Overall, though, we enjoyed the stay and would stay there again. It's close to DeSoto Falls and wedged in between bigger homes. We appreciated the handicapped accessibility for my mom, who's in a wheelchair.
