Where do I start… First of all, pulling up I knew I was staying in a 1 star hotel, there were garbage bags on the ground outside, a diaper box, and the grounds were not clean. Then, I went to check in, and nowhere did it say I had to put down $ for a deposit and had already paid for the room. The desk clerk was rude and told me I couldn’t stay unless it was paid. I had to get a hold of Expedia, because if I had known that, I would have brought my cc. I was not here on vacation, I’m a traveling healthcare worker who just needs a place to sleep when up in Memphis. Expedia got the clerk to let me to stay if I gave her $50 cash. She was so rude and how she is in customer service I will never understand!
Then, in order to get it back, I had to go to the clerk in the early morning to get my deposit back. I specifically asked if they would be open at 5:30 in the morning to get my deposit back because I had to be at work, and she said “yes”. When I went to check out, the door was locked and I had to knock to get someone in order to check out. The guy proceeded to tell me I had to wait 5 minutes in order to get my deposit back. Ridiculous!!! I’m a paying customer and that’s how they talk to customer?If this is the role model of customer service, then we are in big trouble!
As far as the room, it was ok. The doors were dirty and the internet was slow and didn’t work very well. I would not recommend anyone staying here unless you don’t mind having poor customer service!!!
