Nice hotel for the money. Note, no hot water on the 1st floor rooms. Staff said must pay for upper floors to have hot water.

Enjoyed my stay. Bare minimum amenities, but worth it for the price. Room was clean, bed kinda hard but I’m not picky on such things. Staff was nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

You stay here when you dont know Medellín

I made the mistake of staying at this hotel in the city center where you cant leave at night. For $3.50 more you can stay on the 70. Be warned, unless you are from a fishing village in Scandinavia, this Is not an interesting place.

Excellent value was truly a surprise.

Located in a busy downtown area, but our room was very quiet. Not everything was new, but it was clean and pleasant. No A/C, but you seldom need that in Medellin, and the fan was good.

Unfriendly, appalling customer relations

I arrives at about 9.30am. My room apparently was empty, clean and ready, but the receptionist pointed to a sign on the wall saying "check-in 3.00pm" and refused me access to the room unless I paid extra money. She said that was the rule and she couldn't change it. I would have to leave my bags in a storage and wait to shower and change until 3.00pm. I found that totally petty and ridiculous and explained that when I left in 2 days, I would be leaving at 5.00am - a full 8 hours before the advertised check-out time of 1.00pm - so if they wanted to charge by the hour, they would actually owe me a refund! This entire incident left a very bad taste in my mouth - a totally ridiculous approach to customer relations. Apart from that the bed did not have a top sheet - merely a blanket, which I'm sure had not been washed in weeks as it had long female hair attached to it...and that was just what I could see. The area around the hotel was not great and frankly they are much better options nearby which you should take unless you are willing to put up with totally unhelpful and unfriendly staff and manager.

Amazing budget hotel!

We LOVED this hotel. As budget travelers, you usually sacrifice facilities, cleanliness, or friendliness of staff, but all of them were great here. The facilities were all new and clean, the shower had lots of hot water and water pressure was fantastic, and the bed was super comfortable. The room was a bit small, but still way better than many we've seen. And the staff are absolutely lovely. The only negative thing I could say is that we heard the area around it could get a bit dangerous after 10 pm since no one is around, but we never experienced any problems while we were there.

Diamond in the rough

Great little hotel in a rougher part of town. We loved it. If you want to see the real city and not just the show they put on for tourists, this is the place to be. We drank the water and didn't get sick, went out after dark and always felt safe. The street food was amazing and there's a little place a couple doors down that sells the best fresh squeezed orange juice ever for 2.000 pesos (about $.70 with the exchange while we were there). The women working the front desk didn't speak much English, but they went above and beyond to help us. Stored our bags while we visited the coast, printed out boarding passes, kept our passports locked up. We'll stay there again.
