When we first checked in we immediately noticed a dead roach stuck on top of the wall in the bathroom. The bathtub was extremely dirty that when our receptionist came to our room he gave a face of disgust as soon as he saw the state of the bathroom and gave us another room. The other room was cleaner but it was filled with bedbugs... we had to throw away some of our clothing because it was filled with so many of them. My grandmother and I were having such a horrible time. And we requested to have us transfered to another hotel but they were no help. We had to contact support just so that we could go to another place. This was a horrible experience especially since we arrived from the airport and had to leave this hotel at 1am just to go to another one at the last moment. Had to leave our luggage outside and had to clean all of our clean clothes just to make sure we didnt bring any bedbugs.vThe hotel did not help and i had to do everything myself to find someplace else to sleep. This was a horrible experience and would never visit this hotel again.

Honestly, not sure how this hotel is a 3 stars and cost over 400 Cad. Getting there yesterday, there were 3 customers having payment issues because the hotel system was down. We had to wait for 50min because there was only 1 person at reception and he did not know much because he kept calling someone if the phone for help. where finally it was our turn to checkin I understood that some how there are still using pen and and paper book to track reservation. The room was clean but my window did not lock well so I had to listen to all the people screaming at night and the early cleaning trucks. My window cover was broken (Please check the picture) so I was not able to close the curtain. and the bed was BAD. It cracked and made sounds everytime i turns, it was not comfortable. The morning staff was almost arrogant: no good morning, no thank you, no how was your stay. Just give me the room key. I will NEVER go back and will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Such a great place to stay ! But sadly very sadly i have a terrible experience , Bed Bugs everywhere! Horrible its not the word! My whole body had bites, I had to trash my luggage , and clothes ! I end up in doctors office horrible bites lots of itching , welts all over my body ! My body had a allergy reaction to it! Im waiting for my money back! Sadly again i would NOT recomend!

Great location

This is an older hotel that has not been upgraded lately. It's location was wonderful - a four minute walk from the Gran Via metro station. And about a six minute walk to the Sol metro station and the main square. It was in the heart of vibrant nightlife, restaurants, shops, etc. Staff was friendly. We would stay here again.

Stayed two nights in October. I like the location, the friendly staff, the cleaness, and the convenience of the property. It is in short walking distance to the city centre, very convenient to take the public transit (the Metro system), and easy to get to Madrid railway station and the major cultural and historical sites. The property does not provide breakfast nor have a cafe, but a McDonald store and dozens of nice restaurants and bars are around and just several minutes' walk. Enjoy!

Pros: super convenient location for shops, restaurants and sightseeing, decent size rooms, has a cool ‘70s retro vibe whilst still being generally well maintained and the room was sound proofed. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and made it a pleasant stay. Cons: housekeeping was hit and miss, with our room having been forgotten on two days of a one week stay and the air conditioning was broken over two whole days. We would stay again and can recommend this hotel.
