Bizarre experience. The breakfast was wonderful with cooked to order omelettes. The valet attendant was super friendly. The hotel halls and entry are very pretty; But… Check in was lack luster; with three people at the desk, no one offering to help , and no one else in line. Maybe something behind the scenes was distracting them? Happy hour, good snacks, vegs, and chicken salad. Only 1 pleasant but verrry slow bartender for all guests. PS don’t order the Chardonnay. Planned a family swim, but 2+ birthday parties on a Saturday took over the pool -literally no room. Went back after dinner, but closed for maintenance. We stayed in one of the largest rooms with conference table. It was bare bones, no color or warmth, and old pull out couch. I don’t think anyone inspected or prepped for our arrival of 6. Someone delivered a package of bedding after we arrived; it only had one pillow and a tattered green blanket for the pull out sofa. As we were packing in the morning, A staff member opened our door to enter without knocking at 10 am. No explanation, sorry, left. Overall, crazy experience. Maybe call just before your arrival to make sure all is good upon arrival.

We were given the wrong accommodations and told they were full and no remedy was available. The valet parking was full before check in as well so we had to park in public parking 4 blocks away. The tv in the main living area was broken. We paid $700 to sleep on a pull out couch of 2 inch fabric. The manager was supposed to call about compensation and never did. We will never be staying at an Embassy again.

The hotel was well kept and our room was quite clean as well. The room was spacious and had everything we needed in it. Pool was a little chilly but our kids didn’t mind, and the breakfast was very good for being free. Any of the staff we came in contact with was super friendly. We were checked in by Danielle (I think that was her name) and she was fantastic! We’ve already agreed this will be our go to hotel any trip to back to Louisville.

The hotel did not have my reservation. It took almost an hour to check in. The room was clean but not serviced with toilet paper. Pool was dirty and murky. Several loud guests, groups of unsupervised kids running around at night. Guests were allowed to enter the buffet area without shoes. Cleanliness, quiet and attention to detail are lacking. Will never stay at this hotel again.

We were treated by a kind and professional young woman at the front desk. We added two to our party and she was incredibly helpful in changing our suite and giving us suggestions for dinner. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful time. I can’t say enough great things about the downtown location. We will be back!!
