I was more than thrilled with our experience here. The exterior architecture is BEAUTIFUL, and the location is incredibly convenient, minutes away from great attractions such as Churchill Downs, L&N Stadium, Old Louisville, etc. Usually, our Hotel is simply a place to lay our head at night, but in this case, we were eager to get back to the hotel at the end of the day. From the amazing dining experience, lovely bar surrounded by a grand lounge area with charming interior design, to the patio outdoors with football games playing and propane fireplaces….. we could have spent all day at the hotel and enjoyed our trip! Also, if you’re considering weather to get the breakfast, this isn’t just your typical casual buffet. You can order a personal plate, or select the buffet, with dishes such as smoked salmon and fried potatoes. The small additional charge for breakfast vouchers didn’t touch the worth of the breakfast!

The bar is awesome the hotel staff is great the restaurant and the breakfast need to get worked on. $23 for the buffet breakfast or even the ordered breakfast was terrible. You are really missing an opportunity to sell good food before the people go to the show.

My stay at the Crowne Plaza was extremely disappointing. This was by far one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever been in. When I arrived, there were strands of hair left on the bathroom counter, which immediately showed me the room was not cleaned properly. The hallways and floors had crumbs and debris, adding to the sense of neglect. In addition, the entire property feels old and rundown. The carpets are stained and worn, the furniture is outdated, and the fixtures look like they haven’t been replaced in decades. For a hotel that carries the Crowne Plaza name, this is far below standard. Suggestions for Management: 1. Improve housekeeping immediately – rooms must be cleaned thoroughly, and supervisors should check every room before guests arrive. 2. Deep-clean common areas daily – hallways, lobbies, and elevators should be spotless at all times. 3. Renovate and update the property – new carpets, fresh paint, modern furniture, and updated fixtures are desperately needed. 4. Raise accountability – staff should be trained to meet higher hospitality standards, and guest feedback should be taken seriously. Until these issues are corrected, I cannot recommend this property. The Crowne Plaza name carries certain expectations, and right now, this location is failing to live up to them.

We stayed here for the Louder Than Life festival. Easy check in, room was nice size and very clean. Staff we encountered the entire weekend were very friendly and courteous. We did have an issue as our air conditioning unit stopped working. Maintenance was super prompt and friendly. They had to swap in a new unit which only took about 20 minutes total to diagnose and replace. Amazing really. Will definitely stay here again!

The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The room was a bit disappointing. The carpets were stained, a picture was missing from the wall with exposed hooks and the chair looked like it had a "adult stain" on the arm. I'd stay again but for boasting about the remodel the room was a bit of a let down!
