Historical hotel was nice. Main restaurant closed though so bar (also serving dinner) was overly crowded. Didn’t seem to offer room service
.
Excellent lodging experience. Warm and welcoming staff—thanks
The history and almost perfectly preserved antique furniture really set this hotel apart from the others. It was like being in a museum that you get to sleep in! Super nice for the price!
Although we understand that it's a historic hotel, I think it's time for them to replace some of the furnishings that are showing significant wear and tear. The bedding could also be improved. Sleeping on an unfitted bed sheet laid directly on the mattress without a pad seems a little gross. The sheet kept coming untucked, exposing the mattress and it made for an uncomfortable night of sleeping. The room had a unique smell to it, too. We love the Brown, but were less than impressed on this visit.
Ambiance in the lobby bar, complete with a live person playing piano in the background, is always a classy experience.
Nice decorations and location. Nice lobby. Reception staff not super helpful. No complimentary breakfast. Noisy room, unable to sleep properly at night. Overall average stay.
The historic hotel is beautiful. The staff was super friendly and efficient. At this time only the lobby bar was open for food. Service was fast, friendly and accurate. My grandkids loved their fries and chicken tenders and the adults had the hot brown and Caesar salad. All good! Valet parking was quick on the job as well.
Amazing old school lodging with impeccable service.covid has caused some limitation but you will love this place
Beautiful hotel and nice room. Would definitely stay again
Historic. Well preserved and a lot of historical information displayed in lobby.
We LOVED The Brown Hotel! The architecture was amazing! The food in the restaurants was fabulous! The home of the Hot Brown lived up to our expectations! We would definitely recommend The Brown Hotel to anyone visiting Louisville. We shall return!
Historic hotel and staff service and demeanor were excellent . Dining room food and service excellent with variety and flavors on the menu coupled with attentive service.
