Beautiful hotel, great staff and perfect location. Only complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable.

The hotel was very elegant. We received a complimentary upgrade to a very nice room with windows on two sides of the room. The upgrade included a complimentary breakfast and happy hour wine/beer. The room was spacious with two double beds, a couch, chairs and tables. There was plenty of room to move about in the room. The location was excellent - only several blocks from "Fourth Street - Live", an area of Louisville with lots of restaurants and bars and plenty of nightlife.

Long weekend on the Bourbon Trail. The Hotel is in the best place downtown and very nice hotel staff. Great bar and fast elevators.

Great staff, fun lobby bar, historic rooms and decor. Bed was a bit soft but the Luxury room was large and had a nice layout.

Check-in staff not very friendly. Restaurant expensive. Nice rooms. Good location next to auditorium.

Fast room service, very clean rooms, quiet, great restaurants and food inside the hotel. Very promt valet service.

It was a very good evening I was there for only one night but the family enjoy not just the hotel but also the city.

This beautiful old hotel has been updated to modern day standards but has maintained its amazing charm and architectural beauty. The bar area, complete with pianist, was a highlight for us. Just to sit, listening to the music, gazing at beautiful surroundings, be attended to by the attentive staff, you can easily believe you are back in the 30's, 40's, 50's....... Wonderful experience! We will definitely return. Walking distance to several excellent restaurants and the Kentucky Center.

We were just passing through Louisville on our way to Chicago. Next time we will stay longer! We had friends join us for dinner at the lounge restaurant. (Their favorite!) The staff were cheerful, knowledgable and very service oriented. We will recommend your lovely hotel to our friends.

Probably one of the best experiences that I have had. The entire staff was very professional and friendly. The English Grill at the hotel was excellent. The food was ample and the service was exceptional. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Louisville area.

I didn't find the hotel that outstanding. It was nice, but just nice. The rooms were good size and the food was the star of the establishment. At the price paid, one would expect complimentary bottled water and/or minibar. Nice to stay at...once

Besides eating famous items like Hot Brown and Derby Pie, our stay was a nice voyage to another time, that we would take again.

The Brown is a beautiful hotel with well trained and professional staff members willing to assist you at any time. The room and bathroom were very clean and large, but the bed had a plastic mattress cover under the fitted sheet which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep (lots of plastic crunching when switching positions, the plastic made the bed hot, etc.) the pillows on the bed were very small and not very supportive, which also did not aid in the overall comfort of the bed. We will most likely stay here again, but will address the issues regarding the bed at check in.

The hotel was built in the early 1920's so construction standards were not what they are today, but still beautifully decorated and very ornate. Noise from other rooms and from the outside is more noticeable. We used an App on our IPad to make white-noise so as to cancel out most of the noise. The bathroom was small; low water pressure in the shower. We did enjoy our stay there.

Nice Staff. Polite and old school. Upgraded to club floor. Like many old hotels, the lobby is much grander than the rooms. Amenities: no minifridge. Can't really walk out at night. Very downtown. I probably wouldn't stay there alone in the future. I think I personally would like a few more amenities.

This was a great getaway. When there is a concert at the Palace, the Brown is the only place to stay. Excellent service and we were even upgraded due to our status with our booking agent. The Brown is the best.

Very comfortable room with lovely decor. We were pleasantly surprised to receive "Club floor" amenities: drinks and canapes in late afternoon and breakfast the next morning! The historic ambience at the hotel is a plus. And it is within easy walking distance to many eateries and bars.

The staff was amazing. From check in to checkout everything was great. Starting out we were put on a club level with access to the club room. Granted it was a small club room but it was a very unexpected surprise. The location was nice, within walking distance of multiple restaurants and bars.

We loved the hotel. The staff were awesome! I felt like a celebrity. Would definitely stay there again!

My fiance and i enjoyed a weekend in Downtown Louisville and really were impressed by the Brown Hotel and how they were helpful and friendly making our stay as easy as possible. Thanks!
