Charged two times for one night. Hotel desk clerk claimed Expedia did it. But I mark ALL rooms "pay at hotel," and my bank statement showed the charge from Birch Hill. Told the desk clerk that. Desk clerk pretended to read from the screen that Expedia reserved the room for 2 nights. Nope: my Expedia receipt shows one night. My hotel receipt shows one night. So desk clerk tells me to call at 9am next day and speak to manager. I do. Desk clerk says manager told her it's Expedia's problem, but I insist. Finally, the manager gets on the phone and ADMITS that Birch Hill is the one that issued the charge, and that I only authorized one night. Manager says they'll refund the second night, but only after lying yet again that I reserved 2 nights. She sent a receipt, the exact one I signed when I checked in, and told me it would take 7 days to reverse the charge that they made BEFORE THE SECOND NIGHT EVER HAPPENED. These people are liars. Their reviews are part of a contest to give away free nights. Do not go here.
