This beautiful lady is still Queen! Gorgeous original details, courteous staff, and excellent food. Perfect choice for a romantic getaway or for a throwback to vintage glamour prior to boarding your modern cruise ship.

UPON ARRIVAL THE STAFF APPEARED STARTLED AT CHECK IN, THEN MY ROOM/CABIN WAS RUSTIC WITH OLD DIRTY CARPET AND BATHROOM FLOOR NEEDED CLEANING ESPECIALLY BEHIND THE TOILET AND IN THE TUB. EVERYTHING SEEMED TOO MUCH OF A RELIC AND TOO RUSTIC. AT THE ICECREAM SHOP THE GIRLS DID NOT WANT TO SERVE ME AND AS i WALKED AWAY THE HUFFED AND LAUGHED. wHILE i WAS AT THE ICECREAM SHOP ANOTHER GUEST ARRIVED WITH HER DOG AND THEY PROMPTLY ATTENDED TO THE DOG AND SERVED HIM A COMPLIMENTARY ICECREAM TREAT. WHY BOTHER TO OPENLY EXCLUDE OTHER RACES JUST PUT IT ON YOUR WEBSITE.

This is a really cool old place to stay. But, people need to remember that it is NOT a modern hotel. Some of the walls in between rooms are not very soundproof and there is little to no individual climate control. If you're going, I recommend getting one of the bigger suites for privacy and comfort. The ship itself has so many cool things to explore that it's best if you stay at least TWO nights.

It is a unique and enjoyable experience for sure. The place is pretty much the same as it was 75 years ago when it was/is a top class ship. If you like history from the 1940s and 1950s you would enjoy the ship. The price is not cheap…but a once in a lifetime chance to relive life as it was 75 years ago

Our room was so cold I had to sleep in my puffer coat. I enjoyed touring the facility but I would never stay there again. For first timers I would suggest a tour not a stay.
