Our experience with this rental was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. When we arrived at the property, we unloaded all of our belongings and started settling in. Shortly after, we were informed that the home had been double booked with another party. Instead of working with us to resolve the situation, the host told us that we needed to leave immediately and even threatened to call the police if we didn’t vacate the property.At this point we had already brought everything inside, so we were forced to pack everything back up and reload our truck, which was stressful and completely unnecessary given that the mistake was not ours. We had food prepared for 10 people that needed refrigeration, and because of the situation a lot of it ended up going bad while we were trying to figure out what to do next.Several people in our group had traveled from out of state, and we suddenly had to scramble to find last-minute accommodations for everyone. The most upsetting part was the host’s attitude. She was rude, dismissive, and showed no concern for the inconvenience and stress this caused our group. Instead of helping resolve the problem, we were essentially left on our own and threatened with police involvement.This was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a vacation rental. A situation like double booking is already bad enough, but the complete lack of professionalism and empathy from the host made it much worse. I would strongly recommend others look elsewhere
