I stayed in an en-suite room which was basic as expected but was homely. The room had a nice large good quality TV. The large shared kitchen was a good size and I liked the kitchen. The location was very good. The owner was welcoming in that he rang me after I checked in to introduce himself and check if I had settled in and provided contact details as needed which I appreciated. A mirror in the bathroom would be helpful.

Although the booking had a little mix up the owner/manager was excellent. He acted immediately and resolved the issue. The cleaning staff (I wish I had her name to praise) were very polite and did a great job. Would stay again.

Liked the location & premise of this Airbnb type property. Quiet location. Parking no problem. Like having access to a kitchen. Modern IKEA type furniture in rooms. Bed very comfortable. However some damp issues. Led to us having to share a bathroom & shower facilities felt worn out. Recommend a flat floor mop in there for guests use that could be folded/squeezed out as floor gets very wet. Broken shower head you had to prop behind pole means you're forced to end of bath unprotected by shower screen. Although from experience seals on folding screens often leak anyway. Maybe a curtain would be better for full length of bath. Reasonably priced though. May stay again if improvements could be made. Host responsive even in early hours when other guests locked selves out of room.

Abbeyfield Guest House

We were visiting Anfield for the Legends game, so found this lovely guest house. Very clean, very comfortable with everything you might need. The kitchen is really nice, such a good idea (we didn't need to use it) Bathroom is spacious & the 1st floor shower is lush!! Definitely recommend

We enjoyed this stay. Clean and tidy and handy for us cause we were planning on the National Trust Beatles Childhood Tour which left from Speke Hall (£7 in Uber) (there’s a National Trust tour which leaves from Liverpool parkway station which is a twenty minute walk but it didn’t suit our timings) , and a wedding in Woolton which is a nice wee neighbourhood as well (£8 Uber) . Theres a few buses running right to town from nearby too. You are only about ten minutes from Lark Lane on the bus which is a great neighbourhood with loads of bars and restaurants. So, not central but close to loads of interesting Beatles stuff, hotel is well kept, big comfy rooms, big shared kitchen with loads of fridge space. Would stay again.

Super stay

This was a great place to stay. Quiet and comfortable with very responsive help from owners. Digitally controlled access and use of kitchen facilities made for an easy life if you didn’t want meals in a restaurant. Overall highly recommended
