Stayers, beware!! I booked this place for the Talladega race 2026 the day of the booking, first night to stay, the host sent me a message stating that she had accidentally overbooked the apartment. Mind you this is the day before the Talladega race and we live four hours away. We had to search for somewhere to stay as there was nowhere in or near Talladega available at this point, I would highly not recommend booking this place. That is not how someone should conduct business. This was supposed to be my husband‘s birthday gift.

Several Issues

It is a cute place with a good view of the lake. However it was not recently cleaned, and you could tell. It needed a light dust/cleaning; I found 3 dead roaches and animal food on the floor after swept twice. I also found dust on and in the coffee maker so I had to rinse it all out and clean it before making coffee. We could also tell the rug in the bathroom was not cleaned and stuck to our feet after getting out of the shower.The outside area is nice, but was not clean or swept off at all, so we were not able to sit on the outdoor furniture to enjoy the view. The toilet rocks back and forth, so it needs to be reset.The check in/out instructions need to be available to the guests within the app without messaging you directly. This makes it more convenient for both parties. I would also put info in there that makes it easier to identify the property - ensuring the guests that they are in the right place.There is a sign in the living room indicating wi fi, however none was available, so the tv didn’t work.The a/c is not working in the bedroom, so we had to keep the door open and use the box fan to try to get the cool air from the living area into the bedroom.The rods to open and close the blinds is missing in the bedroom as well. It is a cute place, but definitely not up to par to be paying that much to stay there.

Quick fishing trip

Little apartment was perfectly described and clean. Will for sure book again. Even with water low was able to use the ramp and the boat storage was perfect!
