We knew the lobby was being renovated. It does impact the experience. The rooms are nicely renovated. While we had great massages, there is no spa experience. The massages are provided in a hotel room and you are charged a fee for them to clean up your massage area. I found that disappointing.

The hotel was under construction. The entire front lobby is closed, so the check-in area is a small room off of a hallway. There were construction trucks driving around the property first thing in the morning. If you go to the pool after 5 PM, you have to go to the check-in area to check out towels. And if there’s a line with people checking in, they expect you to stand in line with those people so you can get towel towels. This was completely ridiculous. I walked in front of the line and just grabbed a couple towels and was scolded. I told them I’m not standing in line for a half an hour to get a towel. The restaurant is pretty good. The bartenders at the pool were fun. And the ladies who cleaned our room were very sweet. But I would say that the service overall at this hotel is not four star or five star. They do the minimum. The pool is not heated as advertised. They had two Jacuzzis, but one was broken down and not working. None of these things were included in the information when we booked the hotel.

Place under construction. No lobby. No easy access to beach. Had to take elevator to other floors to get to room. Crazy. Also nickel and dime you to death with fees above expected expense suggested by expedia

Room was ok, staff were friendly, but no warning of construction and the core of the hotel was shut down. Improvements in rooms were not of quality noted in their advertising of the hotel.

Room was clean. Didn't like having someone come in during my stay to change a/c filters. Also some kind of construction was going on. Never saw any hotel entertainment during my stay. Appreciated the handicap parking available. Front desk was moved to one of the ballrooms and the guest computer facility was moved to the same ballroom. Construction??

The shower and bathroom had long hair on them. The door sticks to the floor when it is open. The sheets ate small for the bed so they come untucked at night. Nothing to the pillows. Getting in and out of parking is a nightmare. You have to push the call button to have them open the gate. I could see this frustrated others as sometimes a line formed trying to get in or out and people trying to be helpful so we could get moving.

The room was clean but old. The safe did not work. The front desk reception kept repeating my room number out-loud with people standing behind us in line. I felt unsafe after that. For safety reasons, I didn’t think that announcement was allowed. Food was great, drinks were good. Beware, if you get a massage, there’s a therapist that might try to chat through it. Our room lock battery went out midway during the trip. Maintenance had to fix. Pool area was nice. Drinks were good. Met nice people. Property was clean. Hotel front desk called me early one morning to pay my tab before my trip was over. At least they could have waited until later that day and not wake me up. Or they could have waited until checkout. Usually I pay upon checkout. Front desk was sometimes nice and sometimes rude - not sure why. I still haven’t seen the return of my deposit but I will check on that again and update my review.

Found a cockroach in our room, upon arriving. Went to check in desk and felt like our complaint was an inconveince to the staff. She told me cockroaches are all over the island-and they even have them in their homes (certainly didn't make me feel better).They gave us another room-to move ourselves into. Also, the Outrigger was going through a remodel. The lobby was so different than what the ads made it look like. Basically the lobby was in a conference room with 5 desks lined up. When I mentioned this to their staff, they said 'yep, we are going through a remodel.' Felt like false advertising.

The room was clean and really cute. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The mango tea in the front lobby was delicious and their gift shop had tons of snacks, toiletries, a Starbucks, and cute gifts. I really liked the setup of the pool to beach area as well. This resort isn’t massive, like some, which I thought was a real plus. It was totally manageable.
