I like the old fashioned masonry building and its location in downtown Lihue.
Honestly we were a bit nervous, but the very popular restaurant intrigued us, and we were pleased At night the neighborhood was quiet, and the food, amazing.
The beds had only sheets and a thin bedspread. I wish there was a blanket, too.
This is Motel 6 of Kauai. The hotel has been updated with vinyl floors and the bathrooms were redone in the recent past. The beds are Motel 6- firm and you can feel the springs a bit. Maid service is intermittent at the moment, but the room starts clean and basic. Inside, the rooms are painted block, but are clean. The A/C works, but was quite loud. The hotel is in a residential area in Lihue, so you can hear rice rockets and loud cars. The windows are standard Hawaiian glass slats that do little for noise abatement. Most hotel guests were quiet. Two permanent residents of the hotel live on the lower floor, so a random table is outside and sometimes there is a group hanging out, but never past the 10pm quiet hour cutoff. Don't be intimidated. Walking by, they offered a beer and I hung out for a while. Kauai has gotten very expensive so this is a reasonable budget option if you need a place to sleep. The bakery and breakfast room open at 7am and are packed with locals on weekends, but that is the only amenity.
Quiet. The room was clean and spacious. We really enjoyed that the cafe was on site. If we needed ice or anything ws would go to cafe show our room key and.get ice. Cafe closes at 1:30 daily.
The location was the best it’s not too fancy but it’s really cheap & the beds are beauty rest I was outside most of the time
Clean and comfy.
I liked the Checkin process
Even before check in, the email from the motel with threats on how many $$$ will be charged as penalties was not appreciated. Example: Check out time is 11:00 am. If you do not check out by 11:00, items will be removed from room ($100.00 charge). If key is not returned, locksmith will be called ($100 charge) to re-key room. Damaged or missing items will be charged to your credit card. Linens/towels $50.00 each Bed Spread $75.00 each Lost key or remote $100.00 Damaged TV $350.00 Extra Cleaning $100.00
Was super close to airport which was great since our flight got in late . Only suggestion would be I missed a coffee pot.! But no worries as there is a 7/11 right around the corner and a killer Mexican restaurant we had breakfast at !
Good for a one night stay. Bare bones but as expected
The Motel was very neat and clean. What I didn't like was when I asked for a final receipt she would give me one.
this was over price dirty place should not be on any site you give money discount for next trip
