Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort is a hidden gem on Kauai's east-side oceanfront, offering a blend of luxury, convenience, and affordability, providing a serene retreat, surrounded by natural beauty, perfect for unwinding. The resort is conveniently situated between Lihue and Kapaa, and only 2 miles from Lihue Airport, providing easy access to the island’s longest shoreline.

The space

This beautiful Hawaiian-style resort is situated oceanfront on 25 lush acres of Kauai's longest exploring and strolling beach. It features four stunning pools, including three lagoon pools with waterfalls, a sandy-bottom child-friendly pool with a 75-foot water slide, two hot tubs, and poolside lounges.

The expansive grounds also include a state-of-the-art fitness center, Starbucks coffee, retail shops, a hair salon, a business center, meeting and banquet facilities, and a European spa offering massages and facials, along with art exhibits and live music.

Dining options consist of the Naupaka Terrace, Shutters Lounge, Driftwood Bar & Grille (poolside), and in-room dining. The white sand beach offers breathtaking views of the Pacific. For early risers, you can catch the incredible sunrise at Nukolii Beach from the comfort of your own ocean view lanai with coffee in hand.

With its prime location on the east side of the island, the resort offers easy access to all of Kauai's top attractions, such as the Napali Coast, Waimea Canyon, Wailua Golf Course, Lydgate Beach Park, and kayaking up to the Wailua River Fern Grotto.

Note: We are the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort, which is separate from the Kauai Beach Villas. The Kauai Beach Villas by Wyndham, located in the condominium complex next door, are facing structural issues with the building and are scheduled to cease operations in 2026. It has a similar name, but we are separate entities.

Guest access

We cater to travelers who prefer to skip cooking and cleaning, allowing them to spend more time vacationing and taking advantage of resort amenities. Guests can utilize all the self-service amenities, including the gym and pool. Additionally, you have the option to use the surcharge activities, including the spa, restaurants, and bars, or book a tour (such as a helicopter tour) through the concierge desk. However, we are not part of the hosted classes like the koi feeding class or yoga classes. In addition, there is no daily turn-down service.

Fees explained :

* The total cost you see includes both the checkout cleaning fee and the resort fee.
* Hotel parking is available for $40 USD per night, and payment can be made directly at the front desk.
* For your convenience, the resort is easily accessible from the airport via a short Uber ride.
* If you are looking for 2 rooms combined that sleep up to 7, 3 rooms combined that sleep up to 9, or 4 rooms combined that sleep up to 11, we have two Pool Ocean View rooms, a Premier Garden View room, and a Mountain View room. Please message us for details.

Resort renovations:

The resort periodically undertakes renovation projects (currently upgrading one of the restaurants, followed by the cultural center, fitness center, and meeting spaces later in the year/next year) aimed at significantly enhancing our guest experience. The resort is diligently working to minimize any disruption to our valued guests while these important upgrades are in progress. Our unit is in a different building from the main lobby, where the renovation work is currently taking place.
