Fabulous property and high end rooms. Great activities for kids too!
So beautiful and serene the help so nice and helpful
This timeshare unit was spotless with all needed amenities. The 2bd2ba unit was spacious and comfortable. Although the nice patio faced a construction site, it was far enough away to not be an issue for us. Otherwise grounds were beauty maintained and staff very helpful. Only issue is need for better arrival directions and parking fee of $15/day. Nice walking areas by lovely lagoon and golf course. Beach for view only. Pool in nice setting.
My wife was going to make pancakes for breakfast in our room and found a used hypodermic needle in one of the Pyrex mixing bowls! Property has a nice pool which is good because you have to drive somewhere to get to a beach. The beds were horrible, cheap mattresses that have craters in them. No resturants at the property. They charge you for parking ($15.00/day) and then tax you another $80.00 each night you stay. We have stayed at several places on the island and I would not recommend this property to anyone. Because of the needle that was found in our room we were comped all of our parking fees ($90) and credited $250 when we checked out. The property manager all but accused me and my wife of being the source of the needle which is why the only gave us the $250 credit (less than half of 1 nights room rate). I hope that his poor effort to make it right costs him.
Compared to the main Marriott Beach Resort hotel on Kauai, this is more low key, with a more residential feel to it. The staff was very nice and there were lots of activities during the week. The hotel itself is generally quiet, but one evening we could hear a large party on the deck below ours. The grounds are pristine. The hotel is right on a golf course, and the short manicured grass from the course comes right up to the hotel sidewalks. However, since we were on a golf course, there was a lot of noise. The mowers started up at 6am every morning. Also, we were right next to the Lihue airport. I was worried about the noise from jets landing, but I only heard that infrequently. The sightseeing helicopters, however, flew over our building on a regular basis - sometimes in intervals of less than 5 minutes for hours at a time. Also, there is a Ritz-Carlton hotel being constructed on the other side of the golf course, so noisy construction equipment ran all day. Of course, there were roosters crowing a lot, but that happens everywhere in Kauai. Still, overall, a very nice place. Just be prepared for a bit of noise at times. I should note that it was also quiet at times. You have to go to the other Marriott (0.75 miles away) to access the beach, but they run a shuttle bus. Also, there are no restaurants a this hotel. Fitness facility was nice.
Beautiful property that is well maintained and extremely private. We had a nice 2 bedroom Ocean View that was magnificent. The doors fold open to bring the outdoors - inside which gives you an abundance of room. Very well equipped with all of the luxuries of home. The staff goes out of their way to be as helpful and accommodating as possible. Typical Marriott style we all love to be pampered with in vacation!!!
Very close to the airport, local market and shopping center. Resort provides limited activities and staffs are friendly. Highly recommend if you travel with seniors or kids.
