I’ve been at Kaua’i Inn and enjoyed it in the past. This was the first I was placed into an ADA room as it seemed to suit someone in a wheelchair. The room had less furniture. I wish I had a small table or counter to better do my computer work. When I re-book, I will be sure to request a normal room.

The property is secluded down in the mountains and there is so many chickens and cats running around. It feels very local in comparison to a place like Princeville. There are great spots to eat tucked away and 5 minutes from Target and Costco and about 10 from a great Luau

Convenient for what we needed

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. One thing to be aware of is that there’s a public park behind the property where some people seem to be living, using the bathroom as wash house. It didn’t directly affect my stay, but it might be something to consider depending on your comfort

Stayed here for 7 nights for business and pleasure. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at the hotel and setting. Got a really great Kauai experience. The staff was really nice and helpful and we loved all the animals on the property. Cats, chickens, and peacocks made it fun. We are animal lovers and got attached to a few of the cats and hard to leave them behind. We hope other people will ebjoy them and feed them too.

The property is in a beautiful location. It is the oldest inn in Kauai and the rooms are a little dated but we did not go to Hawaii to stay in our room. Staff was great. The chickens and cats are friendly and interesting to watch. Home grown bananas are good

The property was very peaceful. I happened to stay during 'movie night', meaning that they showed an outdoor movie on the lawn (50 First Dates). Easy continental breakfast with coffee and tea options. Very comfortable room. Amazing and genuine staff. I'll go here again on my next visit for sure.
The kitties here are friendly and sociable.
Views were gorgeous.

My wife and I honeymooned at the Kauai Inn and loved our stay. The landscaping and views of the mountain (and stars at night) were amazing, and it was so nice to wake up in paradise. The cats and peacocks wandering the grounds were fun, but the roosters can be annoying for light sleepers so remember to pack earplugs. The staff were super nice and made sure our honeymoon was magical, even giving us a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate! The buildings do show some age, but that is to be expected for a 130 year old inn. Overall the rustic setting and wonderful landscape really helped us get into the island vibe though, and we look forward to coming back for an anniversary celebration.
