A beautiful and quaint place tucked away behind an industrial part of town that I wouldn’t expect to find. A great discovery! Reminiscent of a more homey Hawaiian hospitality- like staying with your auntie. Staff very friendly. The only thing I would wish for is some boiled eggs and fresh fruit added to expand the breakfast as it is a bit sparse. Comfortable room but too bad for all the noisy roosters that woke me up at 5 am! Good location close to the airport. It’s not a glamorous luxury hotel but it is closer to island flavor and isn’t that why you came here anyway? Grounds are lovely and well maintained. Would happily stay here again

Grounds were nice, lots of play area for kids. We like it there for quick stopovers on way to Hanalei. Staff is very helpful and nice. Just in a weird area. The hotel is older and a little weatherbeaten but that is typical for Hawaii. Most of the guest I spoke to were happy. The price is reasonable.

The property itself was dated but clean. It was really just a quick overnight since we landed late at night. Not a place you want to spend your vacation. Saw several drugged-out locals in- and around the industrial area this older hotel is now nestled.

The property was quaint and charming. Not commercialized like some if the other hotels/motels. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a late check-in and the manager moved her car so we could have her parking space. She then went around looking for duct tape to help me do a temp fix on my CPAP mask that had broken in my suitcase. Way above and beyond what was expected at 11:00 at night. Would definitely stay here, again.

We would not hesitate to return and we will !

The property was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

Very friendly staff but just OK experience. It is at the base of a beautiful mountain and very close to the airport, but also in a neighborhood that is somewhat rundown and industrial with broken down trucks and junk. Don't plan on grabbing breakfast here - nice selection of hot drinks but only sugary, pre-wrapped breakfast items and no fruit. Rooms have window A/C units that come on and off all night and ours was loud - combine that with roosters at 5 AM and not a restful nights sleep. We were in Building 1 and just across the street there was some kind of shelter with people hanging out late at night. Internet wasn't strong enough to support us watching live stream TV in our room. Very small pool and no hot tub. Good place to stay if you have a late flight coming in or an early flight going out if you want to be close to the airport. Otherwise, I wouldn't base my Kauai vacation from here.

Beautiful surroundings. Friendliest staff I've encountered.

Somebody broke into our room via the sliding glass door while we were sleeping at night. We repeatedly called the front desk to get some help and got no answer. A few minutes later, the woman named Paula from the front desk was screaming and banging on our door saying we were not supposed to be there and that she was calling the police on us. She then forced entry into the hotel room, much to our fear and pleads, and proceeded to ask us who we are and telling us that we were not supposed to be there. We then showed her our check in paperwork which clearly stated that we were in the correct room. It took her a few minutes to calm down and realize that this was an internal mistake. Turns out, she let another employee’s kids use the shower in that room without realizing that the room had been booked. Mistakes can be made, I get that. But the way she handled this was just absolutely awful and frightening. She apologized saying she is very protective of her friends/coworkers. That is not an excuse. There was a better way to handle this situation. I am actually not even sure I believe her story. If she had let somebody use the shower then they should have used the front door versus creeping in through the sliding door. We ended up immediately leaving this hotel as we were too shaken up and disturbed. Never going near this place or that lady again.

Perfect for families. Staff is wonderful; helpful and very friendly. Close to the airport and perfect location to explore the island. I recommend staying here.

Poor Wi-Fi. Somewhat remote location.noisy conditioning.

THe rooms were decent. THere was a free breakfast but it was pretty skimpy and didn't include any fresh fruit. My biggest complaint is how isolated this hotel is from stores, restaurants and attractions in Lihue. Because of a rental car shortage this year, we were without a car, so we switched to a hotel in Kapaa after 2 days. Bottom line: Good if you have a rental car but inadequate without one.

Enjoyed our stay, would stay again. Scenery was beautiful and tucked away in a cute neighborhood by the docks.

We stayed at the Kauai Inn at the beginning & end of our Kauai trip, for a total of 4 nights. Privacy was my only concern, esp. the bathrooms in both units - windows face directly out to the 2nd floor walkway, and with any breeze, the curtains easily fly open. Although the property is pretty dated, the staff was very friendly, especially Stan in the breakfast area - he was awesome!

Thank you for taking the time to give us your opinion of the property. It is true that we are located in a neighborhood however your generalization how the local people of Kaua'i is not kind nor accurate. We hope that your vacation and view of the locals improves!
