Lake Placid Vacation Packages

The room smelled cigarette as soon as we checked in. We had to turn the AC off as it made it worse. It was so hard to breathe in all night due to odor. 😞

We love this place. Rooms are so big, and clean with very comfy beds and pillows, large TV and good air, hot water and good pressure. We stay here often due to low cost, and proximity to mall and shops. The large arcade room is fun to sit with families and play board games or just hang out. Breakfast is really good as well, with waffles, eggs, sausages, yogurt, etc...This past stay however, the pool heater was not on. The pool was actually ice cold freezing. Too cold even for the kids. All previous stays, the pool has been heated and warm. Its a super large pool and normally fun for our whole family. This time, we could only go in the hot tub, (which is always great), Im sure the other adults were annoyed with all of the kids in there due to pool being so cold. In my opinion all reservations should be called to be warn that pool was out of service. A heated pool is a major perk when choosing a hotel with a family. Things break...I get it...but let your customers know before checking in and offer a refund in case they would like to stay somewhere else. It apparently had been broken for 2 weeks...that's ample time to give notice.

Wish we had more time. Room was clean. Would’ve like some bathroom amenities. No “hotel smell.” Check in was quick! Some peeling wall paper here and there, so a little up keep needed but we will stay again for sure. Huge arcade. Didn’t get to use any of it unfortunately. Didn’t even get to see the pool area. Next time…. The fitness center was huge! Didn’t have the free breakfast as we met someone in the restaurant to eat but looked like a few were enjoying it. Love that you can just walk right into the restaurant from the hotel. The only problem we encountered was when we turned the unit onto heat, a really bad smell came out so we had to shut it off! Should definitely check into that. Room 119…. Will be back for sure!
