I would highly recommend this hotel. It is right behind the common road that has all the retail stores and restaurants. The hotel was clean, staff was nice, lots of parking.

Honestly I was a little disappointed with my stay. The room was nice and spacious but there was evidence of a slight amount of mold on the bathroom ceiling, not a big deal but to some maybe so. The breakfast bar was slacking, there wasn’t enough space to even fix a plate if another person was trying to do the same. The waffle mix dispenser was broken. The biggest issue was the pool was not operational when it was supposed to be, with no explanation. That was truly the only reason I booked there and to not be able to use it was a big letdown to my children who were looking forward to it.

Once we entered our room when we arrived, I noticed something wasn’t quite right with the room. It wasn’t the room I reserved. After calling the front desk, the gentleman confirmed it wasn’t the room I reserved. Apparently, the people that were staying in our room wanted to extend their stay so the uneducated front desk worker accommodated them by extending their stay in our room. He said to speak with the manager tomorrow. We did that, only to find out it was too bad for us. They did not compensate us at all and basically said we just had to deal with it as there was no other rooms available. Here’s a thought, tell the people in OUR room that you made a mistake and that room had been reserved already. They could go find another hotel as I would have done under the same circumstances. Will never stay at Home2 suites in Jacksonville NC again. For the record, the other staff were all great!!

I think the housekeeping at this property is pretty good. The room appeared to have been cleaned well, but the carpet was wet and the whole room smelled like a wet dog. There was dog food left under one of the end tables by the sofa. I really didn’t notice it was a dog friendly hotel or I wouldn’t have stayed there due to allergies. Between the smell and the noisy A/C, I hardly slept at all. My husband didn’t sleep either. The staff was very friendly, but the place could stand to hire additional staff. The very nice desk attendant was trying to check guests in, answer, the phone & juggle other tasks. He was doing his best, but one other person would help. This is a nice facility, decent breakfast, & a nice gym area. I just think there should be a few rooms that never house animals.

bed was very comfortable and the room was super spacious. utensils were already in the room so i didn’t have to waste money buying them and the proposal went very well. now im married. any other hotel, the proposal experience wouldn’t have been so well
