I recently stayed at Fairfield and had a mixed experience. The room was not properly cleaned there was leftover food from the previous guest. Upon returning, I noticed our room door was cracked open. Nothing was stolen, but when I brought it to the front desk’s attention, I was told, “It’s not housekeeping they don’t clean the rooms daily when guests are occupying them.” I responded that housekeeping was present at the time, and I had requested towels, yet upon return, there were no fresh towels and no cleaning had been done. Breakfast is provided, if you’re a foodie please visit Maple Biscuits &Co., Tasty Seafood chicken,Milanos (pizza)!
I’m also not a fan of animals in the space, especially knowing rooms are not cleaned daily; it felt unsanitary. This hotel might be more appropriate for guests traveling with pets.
On the positive side, the front desk staff were kind and helpful, and overall customer service was okay. While many guests were not very friendly, the community of Jacksonville is known for great hospitality, which helped balance the experience.
