The host was extremely responsive via VRBO, hence the 3 stars. Otherwise, this was not a good experience. It is definitely a "shoes on" kind of home as the floors were quite filthy. The place was tidy and well stocked, but a deep clean is definitely needed. Tons of towels were provided (although some had stains) which is helpful and a cleaning team was sent the next day after we messaged about the dirtiness, but it was still dirty after they left. The provided games also felt sticky. The beds were loud. There is also a very loud club scene right around the corner. The neighbors can be loud. I would not recommend this place for young families.

Sewage Problem

There are some things you should be aware of before booking this property. The first is that there is an unmistakable smell of sewage likely coming from a leak in the drain lines. The owner was made aware and made minimal effort to correct this. The next thing to be aware of is the location. This property is located in an area that feels very unsafe. We were kept up late at night with the sound of speakers booming at max volume, cars racing up and down the street, and someone beating on the door in the middle of the night. Finally, cleanliness was an issue. One bed had a large stain on the sheets and another had a need for pest treatment. The inside of the property appears to be updated, but be cautious of loose door handles and a couch that has been repaired with 2x4’s. The pictures look nice on the posting, but be sure to research the location and verify the sewage has been addressed before booking.

Houston Christmas

The property was big and accommodated our group of eight nicely. The house is located on a busy street so we could hear traffic all the time. However, the house was very close to all of the places we visited so that was ok. We visited the zoo, the science museum, the color factory, and Meow wolf. There were some problems with the plumbing but we would stay here again.

The rental process was easy! The house was spacious and very clean. The location worked out nicely for us! The beds were comfortable! The only problem we had was the showers had no water pressure. The hot tub water never got warm enough to enjoy. The host was very nice and easy to contact.

Daughter’s Birthday Getaway

We had a few of my daughter’s friends over to hang out and spend the night for her birthday. There was plenty of room and entertainment possibilities for them. We slept well and had everything we needed. The small touches like make-up removal towels and welcome note were really appreciated. We also enjoyed the outdoor sitting areas as the weather was very nice during our stay.
