The Hôtel des Arts Saigon is impeccably tasteful, smaller boutique hotel. The warmth of the staff is genuine and their attention to detail and their problem solving are top notch. Nguyên Phuöng recognized me from a previous hotel stay from 2 years prior and it was like meeting an old friend. The staff in the executive lounge were amazing as well.

The service was outstanding the moment we walked in. The door staff helped guide our Grab to pick us up, helped us arrange a package delivery, accommodated all our requests, and even made recommendations for dinner and directions how to walk. Our room was very classy although a bit small as the bathroom shared the same space as the bed with a thin curtain. The “city view” was mostly building roofs, but was quite aesthetic at night. Also, nearby rooftop bars or the hotel’s own bar play loud music until around 10pm, but hotel included good earplugs if you want to sleep early. The pool is connected to the public rooftop bar. It is very large and infinity.

Absolutely excellent hotel. The entire place is exquisite. Great rooms. Great beds. Bathrooms have proper Japanese style toilet seats. And the best part? Breakfast. Make sure you opt for it. Amongst my best memories of food in Saigon. This place is a gem

This was my first experience at Des Arts Sai Gon, and while it’s rated as a 5-star hotel, I didn’t feel it lived up to that standard. The service overall was fine, but I noticed a couple of front desk staff were not as friendly as I expected. One night, a friend visited me in Saigon. She was quite drunk, so for her safety, I asked if she could rest in my room until she felt better to drive home. She was dressed casually, not in fancy attire. When we returned to the hotel, the girl at the front desk gave us uncomfortable looks. I explained that she was my guest and might stay for a couple of hours, and I was willing to pay any extra charge if needed. However, the girl at the front desk told me my room was only for two people and that I’d need to rent another room if she stayed. This was unreasonable for just a short rest for safety, so I ended up calling a car to take her home. What truly made me write this review was the next day when my friend came back to pick up her car and me. As we walked in, one of the front desk staff gave us a side eye look, which felt very unprofessional for a supposed 5 star hotel. I didn’t feel welcome during my stay. I had expected a good experience given the room price, but instead, my friend and I felt judged and looked down upon. If you want a truly welcoming hotel with great service, location, and food, I would not recommend this one especially since the front desk seems more focused on appearances than making guests feel genuinely valued.
