We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived. The views of the water were amazing and it was a very easy walk to the beach on a private path. We saw lots of dolphins and incredible sunsets. The beds were comfortable and the common spaces were perfect for our large group. We would love to stay here again.

Extremely comfortable well-equipped house with plenty of room for three families and two dogs to spread out. Right on the beach with our own path. Took one star off cleanliness because had to wait for pool to be cleaned but it was remedied promptly. Wonderful location in Sea Pines and we had bikes delivered and rode on beach and to close activities. Some reviews mention some parts of house are a bit dated and the lower level feels more lake house than beach house but the rest of house is very nice and has everything we needed. We were three generations staying there and everyone was very happy and would love to return.

This is the first negative review I’ve submitted for a rental property. I chose this specific property for a sister’s trip (with daughters) - aged 30-70. The property was well-located and included a private pool and a nice covered outdoor space on the upper level. A house next door (& very close) is under construction with large cement truck and other service vehicles blocking access to this house. This along with the noise reduced our ability to relax and enjoy our space. The house was clean but really beat up and there is a major problem with moisture. The lower level has a strong odor of mold/mildew. And, there is mold growing on a ceiling beam on the upper level. Had I been aware of this before we had all settled in, I would have contacted the property manager and requested to be moved. This was a special gathering and I didn’t want to create chaos, but in hindsight, I wish I had. I would not stay here again for any price, but expected a much higher quality property for the rate.

Family Fun

The property and house layout were excellent. Everyone enjoyed the house, pool and beach. The pool table was an additional bonus for all the young men we had with us. The only issue we had was the refrigerator had to be repaired, and we couldn't get the coffee maker to work.

One of the better options

Overall, I'd have to say that this was a great option for our family's Hilton Head vacation. We've been to the island many times, and this may be our favorite spot yet. The location is fantastic. If you're not familiar with the island, you want to be on the water in the South Beach area. Nothing beats it. The house is easy walking distance to the Salty Dog and the marina. Probably 10 minutes on foot, or three minutes on bike (rent the bikes, you won't regret it). The house has a sort of covered outdoor deck/room that we really enjoyed. Great place for congregating in the morning before the heat of the day, or eating dinner. The ocean / Sound view is actually better than what you see in the listing's pictures. If you're renting a place this large, you probably have kids in your party. That means you're wondering about the pool. The pool is crucial for the kids! We were actually very pleasantly surprised with the pool. It's larger than it looks in the pics, and it's about 6' on the deep end, which is deeper than the 5' you usually see in other properties on the island. If you pay for the heating (which you should), the hot tub, which is actually connected to the pool, is a very nice bonus. The ocean / Sound was a very short walk down the private path. The beach is very wide in this part of the island. The kitchen was well stocked, and the house just felt cozy. Some downsides. The place is showing some wear and tear, and parking is limited to six cars.

Huge house with wonderful kitchen and ocean view!

We have been to HH for 30 years and have rented a house for 7 years in a row for our kids and grandkids now at ages to enjoy. We have always wanted to be close to the beach for ease and activities. This was easily the best so far--clean, bright, spacious, oceanfront with a spectacular view! Quieter as on the toe in Sea Pines-a little farther drive in but worth getting a way a bit more. The kitchen was beautiful and spacious. Separate ice machine was nice. Plenty of bedrooms for couples, singles and kids of multiple ages. Upstairs and downstairs common areas. The pool and hot tub attached were excellent, with neat outside area including putting green. The grandkids were fascinated to see deer coming through back of the property at dusk. Super easy back and forth from house/pool to beach, making it very convenient to switch back and forth. Great TVs although we didn't use much! Wifi good as one of our sons had to do a bit of virtual work there. The pool table could use a bit of repair, although we were focused on different form of pool. All in all, we loved the place!

Savage Hilton Head vacation

We enjoyed the pool,beach,putting green and large family room with large tv. A few items needed repair which were done quickly. We did think the bedrooms could have been better with more up to date furnishings.

Perfect place for a family celebration!!

This is a beautiful property! The upper deck as well as the family room have a fabulous view of the ocean. The backyard was the site of much of our celebration, but when the rain hit, there was PLENTY of space indoors for our group of 17. There were a few minor issues and maintenance team responded promptly. We would love to go back!

Great house in great location!

House has everything you want plus more. Gorgeous views. Great location on beautiful beach. Short walk up path to beach. Pool and hot tub was a hit. Area is perfect - short drive to everything you need.
