The place needs a whole new upgrade! The cleaning crew need to be retrained on how to clean! I honestly cant believe that management allows there workers to not do there jobs correctly! Management needs to start actually doing a better job on managing there staff! And getting that place cleaned up! The pool! We tried cleaning it up with the broken skimmer that was sitting outside! Im honestly disappointed on how dirty and rundown the place was! I worked hard to be able to take a vacation and to stay at a hotel! But when its not a clean 1! An its run down! Kinda Disappointing! And the same stuff for breakfast everyday! It kind of gets old! Most likely wont be going back ever!

Comfortable Stay

We made the decision to stop here after a long day of travel. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. In the morning we had a good selection of breakfast items before we got back on the road. It was a great choice!

The bathroom was awful. There was hair in the bathtub. Hair on the towels. The floor hadn’t been swept. Just awful. And for someone with small kids having a clean bathroom - especially bathtub - was very important. I didn’t feel comfortable bathing my kids in that tub.

Had a dirty wash cloth on the floor when we got to our room. Paint on walls and doors were coming off. Time for a facelift. But it was a stop over that served the purpose

High stress relief without a cherry ontop

We were driving home to Ft Worth TX feom Pensacola FL; my wife, myself and our 2 dogs (chiwawa and Tripod Boxer), pulling an enclosed trailer; somewhere in Mississippi truck issues and couldnt go over 35 mph without issues - LaQuinta is out #1 choice when we travel, the Hattiesburg location was 20 miles away; my wife made a reservation while i limped us there. When we checked in the guy at front desk was awesome and super friendly; he waived the pet fee for my tripod (figured 3 legs would be less risky then 4), room was perfect, everything was as clean and as presentful as expected. We informed them of our truck issues at arrival, kept them informed as we got it to Firestone and eta for repair. Our only complaint was the late checkout - I dropped truck at shop at 9am, walked back, they extended our check out to 12 noon; we decided to book the room another night with no word from shop by 1130a, just in case. Then shop said 3p for pick up time I went to get it, my wife advised them we were leaving at 3p and wouldnt need it for the night they said we still had to pay the whole night rate, they couldnt pro-rate the time, stated manager rules (wouldnt even call rhe manager to see if this woyld qualify as special circumstance. So we ate the cost because we still had 8 more hours to drive, and work at 7am the following day. Overall, we were happy but we disnt get that "cherry ontop".

Property appeared well decorated and looks like it is in good shape. However, room did not show that. Headboard in bad shape, bathroom fixtures not very good (tub drain plug completely removed from tub), tv had bad picture, tv remote only partially worked, air conditioner not adjustable. For what we paid, very disappointing. We normally stay at LaQuinta with our dogs, but may not any longer.
