When I pulled up I was greeted by an enormius rat running across the lot. The lobby reeked of a oke.. Both ciggies and weed. Hallways as well. Room was smoke free and comfy but noisy af with amtrack station next door.

The washbasin is not working properly well, and was not cleaned properly as well. Breakfast is poor, almost empty not filled up. In one occasion i found a piece of hair in scrambled egg pot. And there is no one to report it. Heat is making noise at night, it is hard to focus on sleep in this condition.

When I needed them they weren’t there. No TV worked on the night I stayed. I mistakenly chose the wrong room, but they couldn’t change it for me. I went downstairs to check them they weren’t there, I walked out for one hour, even I didn’t use the room they said too late to change. The shower area, there was used shampoo and soap was left from the previous customer, then I realized when I went to shower, there was no shampoo for me two conditioners but not shampoo The satff(a woman) wasn’t really friendly

Onsite parking limited, poorly cleared a week after big storm. Friendly staff, rooms clean but a little smoky smelling throughout the whole building. Key card had to be reset to get into the room multiple times throughout stay.

The heating system in the general areas of the hotel wasn't working during negative freezing temperatures. The cleaning staff laft bedding sheets sitting on the floor of the hallway. The top drawer of the bureau wouldn't stay shut. This is hotel is locted in a prime location in Hartford, with spectacular view of the state Capitol building and park. The place obviously needs to invest in renovations. There was no juice in the juice machine for those of us who don't drink coffe or tea for breakfast. They said the garage door wasn't working, so I had to pay $32 to park outside on the property. This appears to be a scam to generate more money from hotel guests. I would have parked on the street if it wasn't for the snowblower and tools that were in my truck. This visit is 3 stars bordering on 2 stars.

The staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean but in need of updating. The view of the Capitol was incredible, even in the snow storm.
